Purpose: This study aimed to report the final analysis of time-on-treatment (TOT) and overall survival (OS) in patients with advanced-stage epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)+ non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who received sequential afatinib and osimertinib and to compare the outcomes with other second-line regimens (comparator group).

Materials And Methods: In this updated report, the existing medical records were reviewed and rechecked. TOT and OS were updated and analyzed according to clinical features using the Kaplan-Meier method and log-rank test.

Impact of COVID-19 outbreak on acute gallbladder disease in the emergency department.

Objective: Acute gallbladder disease (AGD) is frequent in the emergency department (ED) and usually requires emergency surgery. However, only a few studies have reported the impact of COVID-19 on AGD. The goal of this study was to evaluate the time between symptom onset and surgery and the perioperative severity of AGD during the COVID-19 pandemic compared to before the era of COVID-19.

Right Gastroepiploic Artery Transposition for a Common Hepatic Artery and Proper Hepatic Artery Aneurysm Repair.

Although hepatic artery aneurysms (HAAs) are uncommon, they are associated with risk of rupture. HAAs >2 cm in diameter require endovascular or open surgical repairs. objectives: Telomerase reverse transcriptase () promoter mutation, found in a subset of patients with thyroid cancer, is strongly associated with aggressive biologic behavior. Predicting promoter mutation is thus necessary for the prognostic stratification of thyroid cancer patients. In this study, we evaluate promoter mutation status in thyroid cancer through the deep learning approach using histologic images.

Clinical characteristics of surgically managed patients with asymptomatic renal stones: Comparison of patients with symptomatic renal stones.

Purpose: This study aimed to compare the characteristics of asymptomatic and symptomatic nephrolithiasis in patients who underwent surgical treatment for kidney stones.

Materials And Methods: Between 2015 and 2019, 245 patients who underwent percutaneous nephrolithotomy or retrograde intrarenal surgery for kidney stones were included. The patients were divided into asymptomatic (n=124) and symptomatic (n=121) groups.

Purpose: Partial breast reconstruction is challenging in medially located breast cancer, particularly in terms of achieving satisfactory aesthetic coverage. Contributing Factors to the Burden on Primary Family Caregivers of Stroke Survivors in South Korea.

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors associated with the burden on primary family caregivers of stroke patients at home without care services. For this study, the Korean Stroke Cohort for Functioning and Rehabilitation (KOSCO) data were used. Of the total 8010 caregivers, 1133 family caregiver burden was assessed with the shortened Caregiver Burden Inventory (CBI) 3 months after stroke.

Prospective, Multicenter Study of Rotational Atherectomy with Antirestenotic Therapy for Infrainguinal Arterial Disease.

Background: Thrombi are common in steno-occlusive lesions of infrainguinal atherosclerotic diseases. Despite the easy passage of guidewires through these lesions, conventional ballooning or stenting cannot effectively treat them, and patients are at risk of distal embolization. This study aimed to investigate the clinical outcomes of using a rotational aspiration atherectomy system to treat infrainguinal atherosclerotic disease.

Off-label use of an iliac branch device and a reversed iliac limb for a patient with a unilateral common iliac artery aneurysm and a narrow distal aorta: A case report.

Introduction: Current bifurcated aortic endografts are unsuitable for patients with a narrow distal aorta except AFX2, which is unavailable in South Korea. An iliac branch device (IBD) was introduced to exclude iliac aneurysms while preserving the pelvic circulation. With advancements in endovascular techniques, various attempts for outside instructions for use have been reported to be practicable in certain patients.

Coagulation measures after cardiac arrest (CMACA).

Background: During cardiac arrest (CA) and after cardiopulmonary resuscitation, activation of blood coagulation and inadequate endogenous fibrinolysis occur. The aim of this study was to describe the time course of coagulation abnormalities after out-of-hospital CA (OHCA) and to examine the association with clinical outcomes in patients undergoing targeted temperature management (TTM) after OHCA.

Methods: Patients in the serological IT phase determined by positive hepatitis B e antigen, hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA ≥106 IU/mL, and normal or minimally elevated alanine aminotransferase (ALT) ≤60 IU/L, who underwent liver biopsy at three different hospitals were included.
