To date, few studies have examined changes in waist circumference and cardiovascular risk profile (CVRP) after autologous breast reconstruction. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effect of flap surgery using autologous tissue on waist circumference and CVRP through a nationwide population-based cohort study. In total, 6926 patients who underwent autologous breast reconstruction between 2015 and 2019 were considered.
