Objective: To examine the effect of listening to nature-based music on anxiety, physiological parameters, and adjustment to the prone position in conscious and hypoxemic COVID-19 patients.

Design: A single-blinded randomized control trial design.

Setting: The study was conducted in the intensive care unit of a state hospital in Turkey.

Methods: In a descriptive and cross-sectional study design, online data were collected from 1231 women aged 20 to 69 years through social media using the Descriptive Information Form, the Gynecological Cancer Awareness Scale (GCAS), and the Cancer Worry Scale (CWS).

Anti-inflammatory effects of oral and intraperitoneal administration of cerium oxide nanoparticles on experimental hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury.

Objectives: Hepatic ischemia-reperfusion (IR) injury occurs in liver surgery, resection, and transplantation. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) produced following IR starts the cascade of cell damage, necrosis/apoptosis, and proinflammatory responses by activating intracellular signaling cascade to drive hepatocellular damage. Objective: The most significant complication in familial mediterranean fever (FMF) patients is dysfunction and organ failure developing depending on amyloid deposition in organs. The golden standard for showing amyloid deposition is the biopsy; however, tissue stiffness was examined by shear wave elastography as a non-invasive method in a restricted number of studies conducted, and it is considered that amyloid deposition can be shown indirectly. In our study, we aimed to indirectly evaluate amyloid deposition in organs with Shear wave and Doppler ultrasonography and to reveal its relationship with MEFV gene mutation analysis.

Infective endocarditis after transcatheter approach versus surgical pulmonary valve replacement: A meta-analysis.

Background: In this meta-analysis, we aimed to assess the risk of infective endocarditis in transcatheter versus surgical pulmonary valve replacement patients.

Methods: We systematically searched PubMed, Cochrane, EMBASE, Scopus, and Web of Science for the studies that reported the event rate of infective endocarditis in both transcatheter and surgical pulmonary valve replacement between December 2012 and December 2021. Random-effects model was used in the meta-analysis.

The aim of this research is to determine the severity of Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) in Turkey through meta-analysis by examining articles that scan for PMS with Premenstrual Syndrome Scale (PMSS). In this study 25 primary studies, published between January 2012-June 2021 were examined. In these studies, attention was paid to use the same measurement tool to make a common estimation.

Assessments of ReDo buccal mucosal urethroplasty in terms of functional outcomes.

Purpose: We aimed to assess the success rates and functional outcomes of ReDo buccal mucosal graft urethroplasty (BMGU) following failed primary BMGU and evaluate the oral morbidity and changes in quality of life (QoL) after this surgery.

Materials And Methods: Data of the patients with recurrent anterior urethral stricture who underwent ReDo BMGU after failed primary BMGU were retrospectively reviewed. The collected data included the results of the urethral stricture surgery patient-reported outcome measure-lower urinary tract symptoms (USS-PROM-LUTS) and euro-quality of life visual analog scale (EQ-VAS) questionnaires performed preoperatively before and one year after surgery.

Eosinophilic Vacuolated Tumor of Kidney: Clinical Perspective of a New Pathologic Emerging Entity.

The eosinophilic vacuolated tumor (EVT) of the kidney is a newly identified and pathological emerging entity. In this case report, EVT diagnosed due to a partial nephrectomy performed for a suspicious kidney mass in a 47-year-old patient is presented. A review of the literature and this case indicates that EVT, also called high-grade oncocytoma, does not show clinically aggressive behavior.

Fluence map analyzer reduces low dose volume in locally advanced post mastectomy breast cancer patients.

Multi-leaf collimator dose leakage in intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) plans causes higher low dose volume which increases the long-term risks of radiotherapy. We have developed Fluence Map Analyzer (FMA) program that suggests the ideal field geometry to reduce low dose volume in locally advanced breast cancer IMRT plans. In this comparative experimental study, FMA has been applied to standard IMRT plans (STD-IMRT) of randomly selected 15 left and 15 right-sided locally advanced breast cancer patients.

Methods: The study is a descriptive study with a qualitative design based on thematic analysis. We conducted the study with 17 women with gynaecological cancer and receiving chemotherapy in the Medical Oncology and Chemotherapy Unit of Kütahya Training and Research Hospital.
