Background: Acute scrotal pain (ASP) is the most common urological emergency in pediatrics, and its causes include testicular torsion (TT), testicular appendage torsion, and epididymo-orchitis. Among them, TT requires prompt and accurate diagnosis and urgent surgical exploration to prevent testicular loss. Conservative anti-infective treatment is recommended for epididymo-orchitis, and surgery is considered only when scrotal abscess formation and sepsis occur.

Purpose: Tumor necrosis factor alpha-induced protein 3 (TNFAIP3, A20) is a negative regulator of the nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) pathway. It has recently been recognized that TNFAIP3 deficiency leads to early onset of autoinflammatory and autoimmune syndrome resembling Behçet's disease. Here, we report a novel mutation in TNFAIP3 in a Chinese patient, who had Behçet-like phenotype and persistent Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) viremia.

Guanghua School and Hospital of Stomatology, Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Stomatology, Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China.

Objectives: To evaluate and compare the cellular morphologic changes and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) expression within craniofacial sutures in growing Rhesus monkeys treated with a Class III functional appliance.

Materials And Methods: Six Rhesus monkeys in the mixed dentition stage were divided into three groups: a 45-day experimental group, a 90-day experimental group, and a control group. Monkeys in the experimental groups were fitted with a Class III magnetic twin-block appliance.
