Background: The 2 × 2 PEACE-1 study showed that combining androgen-deprivation therapy with docetaxel and abiraterone improved overall and radiographic progression-free survival in patients with de novo metastatic castration-sensitive prostate cancer. We aimed to examine the efficacy and safety of adding radiotherapy in this population.

Methods: We conducted an open-label, randomised, controlled, phase 3 trial with a 2 × 2 factorial design (PEACE-1) at 77 hospitals across Europe.

Objectives: To analyse impact of segmentectomy on oncological outcomes of different peripheral early-stage lung adenocarcinoma patterns.

Methods: Retrospective multicentre study including patients who underwent either lobectomy or segmentectomy in 6 European centres from 2015 to 2021, for ≤2 cm pathological peripheral lung adenocarcinoma. Overall and disease-free survivals were assessed by cox-regression and lung cancer-specific survival by competing regression analyses to adjust for patient- and tumour-related factors both in the entire dataset and the in aggressive adenocarcinoma patterns dataset.

A revival interest has been given to natural products as sources of phytocompounds to be used as alternative treatment against infectious diseases. In this context, we aimed to investigate the antimicrobial potential of Ziziphus honey (ZH) against twelve clinical bacterial strains and several yeasts and molds using and computational approaches. The well-diffusion assay revealed that ZH was able to induce growth inhibition of most Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

Primary cutaneous lymphomas are a heterogeneous group of T-cell (CTCL) and B-cell lymphomas (CBCL) developing in the skin and without signs of extracutaneous disease at the time of diagnosis. The term "primary small/medium CD4+ T-cell lymphoma" was changed to "primary small/medium cutaneous CD4+ lymphoproliferative disorder" due to its indolent clinical behavior and uncertain malignant potential. This paper presents a rare case of primary cutaneous lymphoma with small to medium CD4+ T-cells.

Over time, studies have shown the importance of determining serotonin levels to diagnose somatic and psychiatric disorders. There are theoretical premises and practical ways to achieve a subtle correlation between the existence of comorbid psychiatric disorders and somatic diseases caused by the changes observed in serotonin levels. The present study, classified as retrospective and quantitative, provides evidence for determining the serotonin levels in patients with diabetes and anxiety or depression.

Introduction: Literature supports the existence of drivers as maintainers of atrial fibrillation (AF). Whether ultrahigh density (UHD) contact mapping may detect them is unknown.

Methods: We sequentially mapped the left atrial (LA) activation during spontaneous persistent AF and performed circumferential pulmonary vein isolation (CPVI), followed by remapping and ablation of potential drivers (rotational and focal propagation sites) with Rhythmia™ in 90 patients.

Background: Hamstring spasticity can bring about a flexion deformity of the knee, liable to cause disability. Surgical treatment by selective neurotomies of the sciatic nerve branches leading to the hamstring muscles may then be indicated. Few studies have investigated the precise origin of these branches on the sciatic nerve, describing the innervation pattern of the hamstring muscles.
