Delirium in patients has well-documented adverse physical and mental outcomes. Delirium impairs patients' capacity to grasp and retain information, thus affecting their right to informed consent and active participation in treatment and care decisions. In Danish hospitals, delirium afflicts up to 50% of the elderly patients, yet it often goes unreported due to the absence of systematic screening.

In older individuals, tumours manifest a heightened mutational burden and distinct genetic changes which differ significantly from tumours observed in younger patients.

Background: According to the Medical Research Council (MRC) framework, the theorisation of how multilevel, multicomponent interventions work and the understanding of their interaction with their implementation context are necessary to be able to evaluate them beyond their complexity. More research is needed to provide good examples following this approach in order to produce evidence-based information on implementation practices.

Objectives: This article reports on the results of the process evaluation of a complex mental health intervention in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) tested through a pilot study.

In Denmark, approximately 700 patients with ischaemic stroke and large vessel occlusion are treated annually with mechanical thrombectomy (MT). Treatment is proven up to 24 hours if the patients still have salvageable brain tissue and includes patients with occlusions in the anterior and posterior cerebral circulation, and with large volume infarcts. Future studies may expand the treatment indication, as argued in this review.

Provision of integrated care is a challenge in patients with multimorbidity. Patients describe their pathway in the healthcare system as fragmented and important information is often not shared between sectors. The evidence regarding organisation of healthcare supporting patient-centered care in patients with multimorbidity is scarce.

Patients suffering from COPD are often treated with a substantial number of medications due to multimorbidity. The combination of multimorbidity and polypharmacy can make the treatment of individuals with COPD difficult. Although guidelines in recent years have focused on the reduction of inappropriate medication, there is still room for improvement.

The Nordic diet is characterized by a high content of plant-based food and a limited content of animal and processed food. Intervention studies show with moderate evidence that Nordic diet reduces risk factors for cardiovascular diseases (blood pressure, total and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol). In this review, we present the 1-min sit-to-stand test, a short, easy and validated functional test usable for general practitioners, among others, to assess functional capacity for people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Possibly, this can motivate people with COPD to be more physically active. From the first interaction, healthcare professionals should provide information about the positive effects of physical activities and continuously assess functional capacity with a functional test in people with COPD to promote an active lifestyle.

Studies have shown, that HPV-based screening is more sensitive than cytology-based screening, but local factors will influence the performance. From January 2021 phased implementation of HPV-based screening was introduced in the Danish cervical cancer screening programme to women between 30 and 59 years. Women with even birth dates will remain on the current cytology-based screening, whereas women with odd birth dates will receive HPV-based screening.

Background: The prevalence of workers with demanding physical working conditions in the European work force remains high, and occupational physical exposures are considered important risk factors for musculoskeletal disorders (MSD), a major burden for both workers and society. Exposures to physical workloads are therefore part of the European nationwide surveys to monitor working conditions and health. An interesting question is to what extent the same domains, dimensions and items referring to the physical workloads are covered in the surveys.
