Psychological risk factors for upper extremity fractures in preschool children: A case-control study.

Background: In school-age children, upper extremity fractures are associated with both parental and child-related factors and represent a multifactorial entity. This study aims to explore the psychological risk factors associated with upper extremity fractures in preschool children.

Although drugs are the most common cause of AIN, the frequency of reporting AIN cases due to various herbals has been increasing in recent years.

Evaluation of bony changes observed in mandibular osteotomy lines and mandibular condyles following bilateral sagittal ramus osteotomy by fractal analysis.

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the surgically impacted trabecular changes in mandibular osteotomy lines and mandibular condyles after bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomy using the fractal analysis method.

Materials And Method: The study population consisted of 30 patients (9 male, 21 female) diagnosed with mandibular prognathism and operated with bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomy under general anesthesia. Fractal analyses observed the alterations on the trabecular structure of osteotomy lines, and mandibular condyles on panoramic radiographs obtained preoperatively, postoperatively, 1st week, 6th month, and 12th month.

Middle-term outcomes in renal transplant recipients with COVID-19: a national, multicenter, controlled study.

Background: In this study, we evaluated 3-month clinical outcomes of kidney transplant recipients (KTR) recovering from COVID-19 and compared them with a control group.

Method: The primary endpoint was death in the third month. Secondary endpoints were ongoing respiratory symptoms, need for home oxygen therapy, rehospitalization for any reason, lower respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, biopsy-proven acute rejection, venous/arterial thromboembolic event, cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection/disease and BK viruria/viremia at 3 months.

This in vitro study compared the fracture resistance of roots instrumented either with ProTaper or One Shape rotary systems and filled with one of the silicate, epoxy resin or silicone-based sealers. Methods: The study included 20 patients (ages 11-16 years) requiring fixed orthodontic treatment who underwent extraction of their first premolars after rapid maxillary expansion with the use of modified appliances. Predictors of Lower Extremity Amputation and Reamputation Associated With the Diabetic Foot.

In the present study, we aimed to identify the comorbidities that would be predictive of requiring lower extremity amputation or reamputation for diabetic foot wounds. We performed a retrospective review of 132 consecutive patients who had undergone lower extremity amputations (110 patients) or reamputations (22 patients) for diabetic wounds from January 2013 to March 2016. We used multivariate logistic regression to calculate the odds ratios (ORs) for amputation and reamputation for various comorbidities.

There is a limited number of studies on guidelines in Turkey. The quality of Ministry of Health guidelines have formerly been assessed whereas there is no information on the other guidelines developed in the country.
