Therefore, the pathologist needs to be fully aware of how to gross nephrectomy specimens to be able to accurately provide the above prognostic information while reporting adult kidney tumors.

A single center, retrospective analysis of total anomalous pulmonary venous connection repair early outcome at a tertiary care center in India.

Context: In recent years, increasing awareness and early detection has made total anomalous pulmonary venous connection (TAPVC) a relatively common congenital heart condition presenting to children's heart centers in India. The condition was associated with significant morbidity and mortality in the past due to various reasons. Improvement in perioperative management has markedly changed the outcomes of TAPVC even in a developing country.

Grossing and reporting of testicular tumor specimens : An evidence-based approach.

The majority of testicular tumors are germ cell tumors (GCTs), but there are numerous other types, making testicular tumors one of the most diverse areas of human pathology, despite their relative rarity. Testicular tumors are usually diagnosed only after radical surgery, as biopsies are not performed. Further management of the patient is dependent on the diagnosis at microscopy, which itself is based on the sections taken at the time of grossing the specimen.

Organ Preservation Surgery for Carcinoma Penis.

Carcinoma of the penis is not uncommon in India. A sizeable number of patients do not report to the doctors in fear of mutilation to the organ and hence subsequently end up with advanced disease. Many patients with T1 or T2 disease when carefully selected are amenable to organ-preserving penile procedures including surgery, topical therapy, laser, and radiation therapy.

Pernicious Anaemia with Gastric Carcinoids.

We report the case of a 42 year male with history of chronic anaemia who was found to have pernicious anaemia with beta thalassemia trait and had on esophago-gastric-duodenoscopy, gastric carcinoids with gastric atrophy. Pernicious anaemia and gastric carcinoids occurring simultaneously in a single individual is rare. Our case emphasises the need for esophago-gastric-duodenoscopy in cases of pernicious anaemia.

Case Series: Cyclops lesion - extension loss after ACL reconstruction.

Localized anterior arthrofibrosis (cyclops lesion) is the second most common cause of extension loss after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. We present and discuss two patients with prior ACL reconstructions, who presented with pain and loss of extension following surgery. MRI and arthroscopy of the knee revealed typical features of a cyclops lesion.
