Department for Biology and Pathology of Fish and Bees, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zagreb, Zagreb, Croatia.

Pollen grains are the male reproductive part of the flowering plants. It is collected by forager honey bees and mixed with their salivary secretions, enzymes, and nectar, which form fermented pollen or "bee bread" which is stored in cells of wax honeycombs. Bee pollen (BP) is a valuable apitherapeutic product and is considered a nutritional healthy food appreciated by natural medicine from ancient times.

This study investigated the potential of ethanolic garlic extract-loaded chitosan hydrogel film for burn wound healing in an animal model. The ethanolic garlic extract was prepared by macerating fresh ground garlic cloves in ethanol for 24 h, followed by filtration and concentration using a rotary evaporator. Hydrogels were then prepared by casting a chitosan solution with garlic extract added at varying concentrations for optimization and, following drying, subjected to various characterization tests, including moisture adsorption (MA), water vapor transmission rate (WVTR), and water vapor permeability rate (WVPR), erosion, swelling, tensile strength, vibrational, and thermal analysis, and surface morphology.

This article uses the Aczel-Alsina t-norm and t-conorm to make several new linguistic interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy aggregation operators. First, we devised some rules for how linguistic interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy numbers should work. Then, using these rules as a guide, we created a set of operators, such as linguistic interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy Aczel-Alsina weighted averaging (LIVIFAAWA) operator, linguistic interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy Aczel-Alsina weighted geometric (LIVIFAAWG) operator, linguistic interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy Aczel-Alsina ordered weighted averaging (LIVIFAAOWA) operator, linguistic interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy Aczel-Alsina ordered weighted geometric (LIVIFAAOWG) operator, linguistic interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy Aczel-Alsina hybrid weighted averaging (LIVIFAAHWA) operator and linguistic interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy Aczel-Alsina hybrid weighted geometric (LIVIFAAHWG) operators are created.

Carrageenan (CG) and ion exchange resins (IERs) are better metal chelators. Kappa (κ) CG and IERs were synthesized and subjected to copper ion (Cu) adsorption to obtain DMSCH/κ-Cu, DC20H/κ-Cu, and IRP69H/κ-Cu nanocomposites (NCs). The NCs were studied using statistical physics formalism (SPF) at 315-375 K and a multilayer perceptron with five input nodes.

CSMD1 (Cub and Sushi Multiple Domains 1) is a well-recognized regulator of the complement cascade, an important component of the innate immune response. CSMD1 is highly expressed in the central nervous system (CNS) where emergent functions of the complement pathway modulate neural development and synaptic activity. While a genetic risk factor for neuropsychiatric disorders, the role of CSMD1 in neurodevelopmental disorders is unclear.

Hexagonal warping effects on Bloch oscillations in proximitized Rashba systems.

J Phys Condens Matter

May 2024

Department of Physics, Kohat University of Science and Technology, Kohat 26000, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

Bloch oscillations (BOs) in Rashba systems, taking into account the effects of hexagonal warping and proximity-induced band gap, are reported. We find that in addition to real-space trajectories, the group and Berry velocities of Bloch electrons exhibit novel BOs which strongly depend on the crystal momentum. This oscillatory motion is affected significantly by variations in the strength of hexagonal warping and the proximity-induced band gap, originating from the substantial changes in the energy spectrum induced by these factors.

Considering the advantages of q-rung orthopair fuzzy 2-tuple linguistic set (q-RFLS), which includes both linguistic and numeric data to describe evaluations, this article aims to design a new decision-making methodology by integrating Vlsekriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) and qualitative flexible (QUALIFLEX) methods based on the revised aggregation operators to solve multiple criteria group decision making (MCGDM). To accomplish this, we first revise the extant operational laws of q-RFLSs to make up for their shortcomings. Based on novel operational laws, we develop q-rung orthopair fuzzy 2-tuple linguistic (q-RFL) weighted averaging and geometric operators and provide the corresponding results.

r, s, t-spherical fuzzy (r, s, t-SPF) sets provide a robust framework for managing uncertainties in decision-making, surpassing other fuzzy sets in their ability to accommodate diverse uncertainties through the incorporation of flexible parameters r, s, and t. Considering these characteristics, this article explores sine trigonometric laws to enhance the applicability and theoretical foundation for r, s, t-SPF setting. Due to the fuzziness of the medical field, q-rung orthopair fuzzy 2-tuple linguistic (q-RF2L) set is the privileged way to aid medical professionals in conveying their assessments in the patient prioritization problem. The theme of the present study is to put forward a novel approach centered around the merging of prioritized averaging (PA) and the Maclaurin symmetric mean (MSM) operator within q-RF2L context. According to the prioritization of the professionals and the correlation among the defined criteria, we apply both PA and MSM to assess priority degrees and relationships, respectively.
