Salinity severely affects crop yield by hindering nitrogen uptake and reducing plant growth. Plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) are capable of providing cross-protection against biotic/abiotic stresses and facilitating plant growth. Genome-level knowledge of PGPB is necessary to translate the knowledge into a product as efficient biofertilizers and biocontrol agents.

Biotic and abiotic stresses severely affect agriculture by affecting crop productivity, soil fertility, and health. These stresses may have significant financial repercussions, necessitating a practical, cost-effective, and ecologically friendly approach to lessen their negative impacts on plants. Several agrochemicals, such as fertilizers, pesticides, and insecticides, are used to improve plant health and protection; however, these chemical supplements have serious implications for human health.

Polyethylenimines (PEIs), a group of polycationic molecules, are known to impair the outer membrane of Gram-negative bacteria and exhibit antimicrobial activity. The outer membrane of Gram-negative strains hinders the uptake of photosensitizer chlorophyllin. In this study, we report chlorophyllin and branched PEI combinations’ activity against Escherichia coli strains DH5α and RB791, Salmonella enterica sv.

Background: Leishmaniasis is the second and fourth highest cause of mortality and morbidity respectively among all tropical diseases. Recurrence in the onset of leishmaniasis is a major problem that needs to be addressed to reduce the case fatality rate and ensure timely clinical intervention. Here we are investigating the association of risk factors with recurrent cutaneous leishmaniasis to address this issue.

The current work reports the drug-mediated synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and their functionalization with ionic liquid (IL) for acetone determination. The rationale behind the selection of the Augmentin drug was the aromaticity in its structure and the functional groups attached. These properties are not only supposed to work in the synthesis of the nanoparticles but also enhance their electron density.

Linear and nonlinear characteristics of electrostatic waves are studied in a magnetized plasma consisting of spin-up (n_{↑}) and spin-down (n_{↓}) state populations with uniformly distributed static ions in the background. The linear analysis shows the existence of four modes. One of these modes, termed the separated spin electron cyclotron wave, is found to be due to the separated spin populations.
