Purpose: Endovascular interventional radiological procedures have become the mainstay for the treatment of critical limb ischemia (CLI) due to arterial stenosis or occlusion. Open surgical or endovascular procedures, such as percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) or stenting can be used as a treatment strategy. The aim is to evaluate the success and major complication rates of interventional radiology treatments for CLI in Germany in 2021, and to compare these results with internationally published data.

Background: With the ever-increasing amount of medical imaging data, the demand for algorithms to assist clinicians has amplified. Unsupervised anomaly detection (UAD) models promise to aid in the crucial first step of disease detection. While previous studies have thoroughly explored fairness in supervised models in healthcare, for UAD, this has so far been unexplored.

Introduction: SARS-CoV-2 is a viral disease with potentially devastating effects. Observational studies of pregnant women infected with SARS-CoV-2 report an increased risk for FGR. This study utilizes data from a prospective SARS-CoV-2 registry in pregnancy, investigating the progression of fetuses to fetal growth restriction (FGR) at birth following maternal SARS-CoV-2 and evaluating the hypothesis of whether the percentage of SGA at birth is increased after maternal SARS-CoV-2 taking into account the time interval between infection and birth.

Imaging techniques in the discipline of orthopedics and trauma surgery are essential not only for making a diagnosis but also play a central role in the performance, documentation and monitoring of the corresponding treatment. Procedures such as open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) and closed reduction and internal fixation (CRIF) of fractures, kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty as well as posterior stabilization of spinal fractures are carried out under X‑ray control. In the relevant operating rooms of emergency departments and operating theaters, mobile fluoroscopy devices are available, which due to their appearance are called C‑arms.

Mutations in PARK15, which encodes for the F-box protein FBXO7 have been associated with Parkinsonian Pyramidal syndrome, a rare and complex movement disorder with Parkinsonian symptoms, pyramidal tract signs and juvenile onset. Our previous study showed that systemic loss of Fbxo7 in mice causes motor defects and premature death. We have also demonstrated that FBXO7 has a crucial role in neurons as the specific deletion in tyrosine hydroxylase-positive or glutamatergic forebrain neurons leads to late-onset or early-onset motor dysfunction, respectively.

Introduction: In addition to medication, the standard clinical treatment for vestibular vertigo primarily includes physical therapy in the form of regular exercises. Vertidisan is a future digital health application (DiGA) for structured dizziness therapy. Its content is multimodal and consists of Adaptive Balance and Eye Movements and Visual Stimulation (ABEV) exercises, which are expected to have an anti-vertigo effect through neural learning.
