We performed a comprehensive study of protein (total protein, medium-molecular-weight peptides, creatinine, and urea), purine (uric acid), and lipid (cholesterol, triglycerides) metabolism, activity of AST, ALT, and acid phosphatase in blood plasma of white male rats under conditions of restriction of motor activity up to 28 days. Patterns of changes in metabolic profile during hypokinesia were established: prevalence of catabolic processes and atherogenic shifts in the lipid spectrum with maximum manifestation on 14-21 days of the experiment.

Arm dysfunction is one of the disabling manifestations of multiple sclerosis (MS), especially in later stages of the disease. Assessment of the functioning of the upper limbs is necessary to objectify the course of MS, determine the effectiveness of therapy, and individualize rehabilitation measures. The tools that assess the upper extremity dysfunction include tests and questionnaires.

Objective: To identify the association between cerebrovascular diseases (CVD) and multiple sclerosis (MS) among patients over 50 years old in two independent populations of Moscow and Tyumen.
Material And Methods: The study included 94 patients with MS in combination with CVD (main group) and 90 age-and sex-matched patients with MS without a vascular history (comparison group). An analysis of parameters such as disease duration, EDSS at different time points, disease progression index, duration of first remission in each population separately and in both populations together was carried out.

Objective: Recent studies have described a significant role for neutrophils in reproductive processes and their participation in the preparation of the cervix for childbirth and the activation of labor, in the postpartum involution of the uterus, and in the occurrence of preeclampsia. This study aimed to assess the formation of free radicals by neutrophils in the blood of women on the first day after childbirth and to characterize the adrenergic effect on this process.
Methods: Venous blood samples from 100 female volunteers aged 26-32 years who had 2 or 3 full-term deliveries were collected and analyzed.

This article presents a comprehensive study of the parameters of LPO (concentrations of malondialdehyde, diene conjugates, and intensity of chemiluminescence) and antioxidant defense (concentrations of α-tocopherol, ceruloplasmin, total antioxidant activity, antiradical activity, and activities of antioxidant enzymes - superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase, and glutathione reductase) in blood plasma and erythrocytes of white male rats during restriction of motor activity up to 28 days. The patterns of changes in oxidative balance in hypokinesia in the form of intensification of LPO processes against the background of depletion of resources of antioxidant defense with maximum manifestation on days 14-21 of the experiment were revealed.

We present the results of a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multi-center clinical trial phase I/II of the tolerability, safety, and immunogenicity of the inactivated whole virion concentrated purified coronavirus vaccine CoviVac in volunteers aged 18-60 and open multi-center comparative phase IIb clinical trial in volunteers aged 60 years and older. The safety of the vaccine was assessed in 400 volunteers in the 18-60 age cohort who received two doses of the vaccine (n = 300) or placebo (n = 100) and in 200 volunteers in 60+ age cohort all of whom received three doses of the vaccine. Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSD) comprise a group of autoimmune inflammatory demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system that manifest as optic neuritis and transverse myelitis. Its manifestation in the form of optic neuritis makes early diagnosis difficult because neuroimaging of the spinal cord is not a part of the routine examination algorithm for such patients. This article presents the results of a comprehensive ophthalmological examination of 4 patients (8 eyes) diagnosed with NMSOD.

Background: There is enough evidence of the negative impact of excess weight on the formation and progression of res piratory pathology. Given the continuing SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, it is relevant to determine the relationship between body mass index (BMI) and the clinical features of the novel coronavirus infection (NCI).
Aim: To study the effect of BMI on the course of the acute SARS-COV-2 infection and the post-covid period.
Aim: Study the impact of various combinations of comorbid original diseases in patients infected with COVID-19 later on the disease progression and outcomes of the new coronavirus infection.
Materials And Methods: The ACTIV registry was created on the Eurasian Association of Therapists initiative. 5,808 patients have been included in the registry: men and women with COVID-19 treated at hospital or at home.
The article considers a case from clinical practice: a mixed infection of viral hepatitis A and hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome. Hepatitis had a protracted course and proceeded with the development of acute hepatic encephalopathy. Hemorrhagic fever was characterized by an atypical course with lung and heart damage.

Background: Effective response to emerging pandemic threats is complicated by the need to develop specific vaccines and other medical products. The availability of broadly specific countermeasures that could be deployed early in the pandemic could significantly alter its course and save countless lives. Live attenuated vaccines (LAVs) were shown to induce non-specific protection against a broad spectrum of off-target pathogens by stimulating innate immune responses.
