The large amounts of attention directed towards the commercialization of renewable energy systems have motivated extensive research to develop non-precious-metal-based catalysts for promoting the electrochemical production of H and O from water. Here, we report promising technology, , electrochemical water splitting for OER and HER. This work used a simple hydrothermal method to synthesize a novel CoTe-FeC nanocomposite directly on a stainless-steel substrate.

This study took advantage of a natural experiment in 2006 and 2007 when Black-crowned Night Herons were prevented from breeding at Lake Fetzara in the first year due to the presence of a feral cat. This event provided valuable insight into the spatial and temporal dynamics of nest site selection among coexisting heron species, which consisted of Cattle Egrets (), Little Egrets () and Squacco Herons ().

Aim: Autosomal recessive primary hyperoxalurias (PH) are genetic disorders characterised by elevated oxalate production. Mutations in genes involved in glycoxylate metabolism are the underlying cause of PH. Type 1 PH (PH1) results in malfunctioning of alanine-glyoxylate aminotransferase enzymes of liver due to a change in the genetic sequence of alanine-glyoxylate aminotransferase (AGXT) gene.

Evaluation of of the family Boraginaceae during previous investigations determined numerous therapeutic potentials against inflammatory-related diseases. The present study evaluates the phytochemical, acute toxicity, and hepatoprotective effects of methanolic extracts of (MEAL) against thioacetamide (TAA)-induced liver injury in rats. The phytochemical profiling of MEAL followed a Folin-Ciocalteu and 10% AlCl3 procedure using a spectrophotometer.

The synthesis of polymer/oligomer-stabilized metal nanostructures (MNS) opens up a wide range of possibilities, from fundamental materials science to practical applications in domains such as medicine, catalysis, sensing, and energy. Because of the versatility of this synthetic approach, it is a dynamic and ever-changing field of study. These polymers/oligomers have precise control over the nucleation and growth kinetics, allowing the production of mono-disperse MNS with well-defined properties.

The current study was designed to investigate the effect of A. indica (Neem) leaf extracts (ethanolic and aqueous) in yeast-induced pyrexia and acetic acid-induced writhing in rat models to evaluate the antipyretic and analgesic biomarkers and its phytochemical screening with computational analysis. For the antipyretic activity model 60 albino rats (160-200g) of either sex were divided into 4 groups and all groups were injected with yeast to induce pyrexia.

Binding energies, mechanical properties, phonon spectra and molecular dynamics (AIMD) simulations confirm the stabilities of these systems. TaX-BY (X = S, Se, Te; Y = P, As, Sb) MS van der Waals heterostructures (vdWHs) are found to be metal with a Schottky contact at the interface.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the third most common cause of cancer death and disability in the world. Citrus species and their constituents have many biological activities including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic properties. This study aimed to assess the anti-carcinogenic effects and postulate the possible mechanisms of action for Citrus limon fruit peel hydroethanolic extract (CLFPHE) and limonene in diethylnitrosamine (DEN)/2-acetylaminofluorene (2AAF)-induced HCC in male Wistar rats.

3,4-Dihydropyrimidin-2(1)-ones (DHPMs) and 1,4-dihydropyridines (DHPs), prepared by applying the Biginelli and Hantzsch reaction protocols, respectively, are well-documented nitrogen-containing heterocycles with intriguing pharmacological properties. The aqueous solution of biogenic carboxylic acids renewably produced from biomass catalytic or enzymatic processes can be used as a sustainable catalyst and green reaction media for synthesizing DHPs and DHPMs. This work evaluates the efficacy of various biogenic acids in their aqueous solutions as catalysts for synthesizing DHPs and DHPMs from substituted benzaldehydes.

The literature does not adequately examine the relationship between cardiovascular disease (CVD) and risk in handgrip strength (HGS) among community-dwelling older adults in India. The study aimed to investigate this relationship, considering sociodemographic, lifestyle, and clinical variables. A cross-sectional study involving 31,001 individuals aged ≥60 assessed HGS in kilograms using a handheld Smedley Hand Dynamometer and self-reported CVD status.

A novel series of 1,2,3-triazole/quinazoline-4-one hybrids (8a-t) were designed and synthesized as dual-targeted antiproliferative agents. Compounds 8a-t were evaluated for their antiproliferative efficacy against a panel of four cancer cell lines. The results indicated that most of the evaluated compounds exhibited strong antiproliferative activity, with 8f, 8g, 8h, 8j, and 8l demonstrating the highest potency.

The development of novel and efficient tyrosinase inhibitors is a critical necessity of agricultural, cosmetic and medicinal chemistry. Bearing in mind the therapeutical potential of naphthofuran-containing organic compounds, we carried out the CTAB-catalyzed ultrasound-assisted synthesis of a library of novel naphthofuran-triazole joined -aryl/alkyl acetamides 20(a-j) in 74-92% yield, which were further assessed for their tyrosinase inhibitory potential by taking kojic acid and ascorbic acid as standard inhibitors. The tyrosinase inhibitory assay demonstrated the promising tyrosinase inhibiting tendency of all prepared derivatives 20(a-h) as they all were found to be more efficient in comparison to the standard kojic acid.
