Statement Of Problem: Acrylic denture base resins are subject to colonization by oral and nonoral bacteria, contributing to the onset of denture stomatitis. However, how the addition of antimicrobial substances affects the mechanical and optical properties of additively manufactured denture base resin remains unclear.
Purpose: The purpose of this in vitro study was to investigate the surface roughness, color stainability, and flexural strength of antimicrobial-modified, additively manufactured polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) denture base resin in tooth and gingiva colors.

Whilst the world sees the tremendous growth of mobile phone technology, radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation (RF-EMR) induced possible health effects have emerged as a topic of recent day debate. The current study is designed to test the hypothesis that chronic 900MHz radiation exposure would potentially dysregulate the stress response system (HPA axis) in vivo, via, its non-thermal mechanisms, leading to alterations in the microarchitecture of the adrenal gland, vulnerable brain regions such as the hippocampus which may results in altered behaviours in rats. Male albino Wistar rats aged four weeks, weighing 50-60g were subjected to 900MHz radiation from a cellphone for four weeks at a rate of one hour per day.

Background: Odontogenic maxillary sinusitis (OMS) is recognized in literature, but diagnosing it is challenging due to its different and overlapping clinical presentations of it. Misdiagnosis can lead to persistent symptoms and clinical burden. Interestingly, recent guidelines from the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery lack recommendations for dental evaluation in adult sinusitis cases.

Excessive gingival display (EGD), commonly known as a gummy smile (GS), is a cosmetic concern that involves exposing a significant area of gum tissue during a smile, rendering it unaesthetic. Gingival exposure greater than 3 mm is deemed aesthetically displeasing and often necessitates treatment to mask the gummy smile. The causes of EGD are multifactorial, including altered passive eruption (APE), hypermobile upper lip (HUL), short lip length, increased vertical maxillary component, gingival hyperplasia, dentoalveolar extrusion, and more.

The hearing status of children should be examined throughout early childhood, even if they have passed the newborn hearing loss because hearing loss can occur at any time and may affect their ability to learn. Preschool hearing screening (PHS) is vital to continue screening throughout early childhood. The current practice of PHS in the primary healthcare centers (PHCs) in Saudi Arabia is unknown.

Palmoplantar pustular psoriasis (PPPP), or palmoplantar pustulosis (PPP), is a type of psoriasis that affects the skin on the palms and soles. It is characterised by dermatosis and small sterile pustules and is considered a significant burden on patients' quality of life, as there is currently no gold standard treatment or cure. This network meta-analysis (NMA) compares the efficacy and safety of biologic and non-biologic medications for PPPP and PPP.

Methanol is a widely used industrial and household alcohol that poses significant health risks upon exposure. Despite its extensive use, methanol poisoning remains a critical public health concern globally, often resulting from accidental or intentional ingestion and outbreaks linked to contaminated beverages. Methanol toxicity stems from its metabolic conversion to formaldehyde and formic acid, leading to severe metabolic acidosis and multiorgan damage, including profound CNS effects and visual impairments.

Stem cell-based therapies hold significant potential for cancer treatment due to their unique properties, including migration toward tumor niche, secretion of bioactive molecules, and immunosuppression. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) from adult tissues can inhibit tumor progression, angiogenesis, and apoptosis of cancer cells. We have previously reported the isolation and characterization of placenta-derived decidua basalis mesenchymal stem cells (DBMSCs), which demonstrated higher levels of pro-migratory and anti-apoptotic genes, indicating potential anti-cancer effects.

Mammalian fertilization is a complex and highly regulated process that has garnered significant attention, particularly with advancements in assisted reproductive technologies such as in vitro fertilization (IVF). The fusion of egg and sperm involves a sequence of molecular and cellular events, including capacitation, the acrosome reaction, adhesion, and membrane fusion. Critical genetic factors, such as IZUMO1, JUNO (also known as FOLR4), CD9, and several others, have been identified as essential mediators in sperm-egg recognition and membrane fusion.

Emotional intelligence (EI) is increasingly recognized as a key factor in healthcare, where managing emotions is vital for job satisfaction, productivity, and interpersonal relationships. For nurses, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, EI plays a pivotal role in navigating emotional challenges and improving their quality of work life (QoWL). This study examined how EI moderates the relationship between nurses' preparedness to care for COVID-19 patients and their QoWL.

Background: Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is one of the leading causes of blindness among diabetic patients, particularly in areas with an increase in diabetes epidemics, such as Saudi Arabia. Notwithstanding the significant public health implications, data on the prevalence and risk factors of DR in Saudi Arabia are few and scattered, limited to certain geographic areas. Our study objective is to conduct a systematic review of the literature and a meta-analysis of the prevalence and predictors for DR in Saudi Arabia, within both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Neuropeptide Y (NPY) is a sympathetic neurotransmitter widely distributed in the peripheral and central nervous system, affecting many physiological functions. Consequently, dysregulation of the NPY system contributes to numerous pathological disorders, including stress, obesity, and cancer. The pleiotropic functions of NPY in humans are mediated by G protein-coupled receptors (Y1R, Y2R, Y5R), which activate several signaling pathways and thereby regulate cell growth, differentiation, apoptosis, proliferation, angiogenesis, and metabolism.
