Background: Electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) are known to cause adverse pulmonary effects, yet paradoxically, the prevalence of e-cigarette use has increased among individuals with chronic lung disease. We assessed the relationship between chronic lung disease and the susceptibility to e-cigarette use in adults and determined if specific behavioral, social, and environmental factors influence this relationship.

Methods: We enrolled adults age ≥ 18 y in Alabama with chronic lung disease from university medical clinics ( = 140) and individuals without chronic lung disease ( = 123, reference group) from January 2020-March 2021.

Introduction: Medical education in Saudi medical colleges is delivered to students through a completely English language curriculum, whereas the practice that students face in the hospital is generally conducted in Arabic language settings. We suggest that the linguistic gap between the adopted medical curriculum and actual practice could influence students' confidence and level of difficulty in history taking in Arabic. The study aimed to identify the effects of learning history taking in the English language on applying it in the medical student's native language.

The objective of our study is to assess the subjective and objective oral manifestations and salivary pH in diabetic and nondiabetic uremic patients at a nephrology clinic. A total of 194 diabetic and nondiabetic patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), who were divided into four groups, Group A, B, C, D, and who were attending a nephrology clinic were included in the study. Predialytic unstimulated whole salivary pH was recorded using pH- measuring strips.
