In 2023, the first annual meeting of the Thoracic Oncology Multidisciplinary Faculty, organized by the Egyptian Cancer Research Network and the Egyptian Society of Respiratory Neoplasms, was held in Cairo, Egypt. Trends of primary health care practitioners toward bleeding management in Saudi Arabia: a cross-sectional analysis.

Objectives: High rates of morbidity and mortality are a result of trauma being a significant health burden in Saudi Arabia. We evaluated the current trends of primary healthcare (PHC) physicians in Saudi Arabia toward patients with bleeding and their referral awareness for percutaneous endovascular arterial embolization (EAE).

Methods: We formulated a 13-question survey to assess PHC physicians' knowledge regarding decision-making and appropriate approaches to manage patients with traumatic and non-traumatic abdominopelvic and lower limb bleeding.

We systematically reviewed all available literature on FRM techniques used for acne scarring by searching the PubMed and EBSCO databases up to July 2024.

Real-world clinical outcome of unresectable locally advanced & de-novo metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma: a multicentre retrospective study.

Background: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) remains one of the most lethal malignancies, with limited treatment options yielding poor outcomes. This study aimed to evaluate the real-world clinical characteristics, treatment patterns, and outcomes of patients with locally advanced unresectable and de-novo metastatic PDAC in Saudi Arabia, providing regional data to compare with international benchmarks.

Methods: This is a retrospective, multicentre study involving 350 patients diagnosed with unresectable locally advanced or de-novo metastatic PDAC between January 2015 and November 2023.

We find here that CIROZ (previously known as C1orf127) is also specifically expressed in the LRO of mice, frogs, and fish, where it encodes a protein with a signal peptide followed by 3 zona pellucida N domains, consistent with extracellular localization. We report 16 individuals from 10 families with bi-allelic CIROZ inactivation variants, which cause heterotaxy with congenital heart defects.
