Amplifying Lateral Flow Assay Signals for Rapid Detection of COVID-19 Specific Antibodies.

Rapid lateral flow immune-assays are point-of-care diagnostic tools that are easy to use, cheap, and do not need centralized infrastructure. Therefore, these devices are appealing for rapid detection of the humoral immune responses to infections, particularly severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The novel technique introduced here uses a complex of anti-SARS-CoV-2 N-protein antibodies conjugated to gold nanoparticles that are bound to five SARS-CoV-2 N protein conjugated to gold nanoparticles to amplify the signals obtained from the conjugated SARS-CoV-2 N protein and to enhance the assay detection limit.

In the last 20 years, extensive research has been conducted to investigate the medicinal prospects of jiaogulan, and in this regard, more than 200 compounds have been isolated with various medicinal properties such as anticancer, anti-obesity, anti-inflammation, and antioxidation. In respect of potential benefits, jiaogulan market is likely growing, and various food items comprised of jiaogulan (beverage, sport drinks, cola, beer, tea, bread, and noodles) have been commercialized in the United States of America, China, and other Asian countries.

The objective of this study was to investigate the extent of pollution and assess the presence of heavy metals in fish tissue and study their association with biological and biochemical alterations.

Relationship between soil cobalt and vitamin B12 levels in the liver of livestock in Saudi Arabia: role of competing elements in soils.

Objective: This study aimed to analyze the agricultural soils from different regions in Saudi Arabia for cobalt and related metals as Cu(2+), Ni(2+), Cr(3+), Zn(2+) and Pb(2+).

Materials And Methods: Liver and muscle tissues of livestock grazing on the selected areas were analyzed for the content of Co and vitamin B12.

Results: Our results indicated that the levels of Co in surface soil (0-15 cm) were higher than in sub-surface soil (>15 cm-45 cm).
