In vascular neurosurgery, dural arteriovenous fistulas (DAVFs) are a difficult, challenging condition whose natural history and therapy are still debated. This case report presented a 30-year-old male patient who experienced intermittent headaches for two months, along with gradual weakness in all four limbs, resulting in quadriplegia. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) played a significant role in the diagnosis of the patient, in which the final diagnosis was vascular myelopathy due to Dural arteriovenous fistula (DAVF).

A pressure ulcer is defined as a skin lesion of ischemic origin, a condition that contributes to morbidity and mortality in patients with spinal cord injuries. The most common complication of ulcers is a bacterial infection. Antimicrobial therapy should be selected with caution for spinal cord injury patients since they have a high risk of developing multidrug-resistant (MDR) infections.

Acute lower respiratory viral infections are significant contributors to morbidity/mortality in children less than 2 years of age. In this retrospective study conducted at a major hospital, between 2017 and 2019, it was observed that rhinovirus, respiratory-syncytial-virus and influenza virus are the most frequently detected with the seasonal distribution. Mortality rate was significantly higher in children less than 12 months and significantly increased in males and in those requiring intubation.

Methods: This study included 307 MS patients and 307 healthy controls from clinics and hospital wards in three cities (Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam) in Saudi Arabia (2016-2017). We used Stunkard's standard body silhouettes to determine the participants' body sizes (from 1 to 9) during different age periods (school levels).

A 47-year-old non-smoker male who has received the first dose of the BNT162b2 mRNA Covid-19 vaccine in Saudi Arabia. At day 3 post-vaccination, he tested negative for Covid-19 and travelled to Egypt. On day 12 he developed runny nose, body ache and fever, and he reportedly tested (PCR) negative for Covid-19 Upon his return to Saudi on day 15, his symptoms have worsened and he presented to the Emergency Department, at which he tested positive for Covid-19.
