Induction of donor-specific tolerance in outbred Wistar rats (RT1) and inbred August rats (RT1) increased the expression of immune proteasome subunits in liver with a peak on day 7 after beginning of the induction. The increase in the level of immune subunits LMP2 and LMP7 was more pronounced in the liver of August rats in comparison with Wistar rats (by 2 and 6 times, respectively), which was associated with higher concentrations of monoamines in the CNS of August rats. After induction of donor-specific tolerance in August and Wistar rats, the immune subunits were in cells of sinusoidal lining and in cells located in sinusoid lumens.

We analyzed the influence of initial properties of biopolymer fi lm extracellular matrices made of chitosan on adhesion of swine embryonic kidney epithelium-like cells, their morphology, growth, and proliferation. It was found that adhesion index of cells on the studied matrices was similar, but cell morphology had significant qualitative differences. Round non-flattened cells were described in endothelial cell cultures on chitosan-based matrices.

We analyzed the serum level of IL-10, blood content of CD4+СD210+ cells, and expression of IL-10 receptors in adjuvant arthritis before and after treatment with native and cryopreserved placental cells. In animals with experimental adjuvant arthritis, a negative correlation was found between the index of arthritis and IL-10 concentration (r=-0.7; p=0.

The results of the analysis testify (i) to a significant level of genetic diversity in the Northern Eurasian populations and (ii) to a considerable differentiation of gene pool in the population of this region. It has been shown that at the CD4 locus, the frequency of Alu (-) is inversely related to the Mongoloid component of the population, the lowest and highest frequencies of the Alu deletion at locus CD4 were recorded respectively in Eskimo (0.

We studied the effect of nanocomposite coatings with various physicochemical properties on the structural and functional properties (adhesion potential, phenotype, gene expression) of mesenchymal stem cells. Of all tested nanocoatings (Al2O3, ZrO2, Ta2O5), oxide coating Al2O3 enriched in vitro monolayer bone marrow cell culture with cells carrying mesenchymal stem cells phenotype markers and stimulated expression of ido gene, which can confer new therapeutic potencies to these cells and extend their application in clinical practice.

We studied the possibility of using 3D structures based on carbon catalytic deposits as carriers for human bone marrow stromal cells. It was found that carbon catalytic deposits obtained by gas deposition method using FeCl(3) × 6H(2)O as the catalyst are a biocompatible material for human bone marrow stromal cells promoting adhesion, proliferation, and distribution of cells within the 3D carrier, and therefore can be used for tissue engineering.

We performed a comparative study of the localization, distribution, metabolic activity, and surface properties of human bone marrow mesenchymal stromal cells after static and perfusion seeding to macroporous alginate cryogels. A simple perfusion system for mesenchymal stromal cell seeding to macroporous alginate cryogel sponges proposed in this study resulted in rapid and uniform distribution of cells within the whole volume of the scaffold preserving functional and morphological properties of the cells.

Eight haplogroups: C3, E, N*, N1b, N1c, R1a1a and R1b1b1 have been determined in Khakass gene pool. Significant differences between Sagays and Kachins were shown in haplogroup spectra and a level of genetic diversity in haplogroups and YSTR-haplotypes.

The sex ratio value was found to decrease with an increase in the share of cells with the trisomic karyotype, which suggests differential survival of embryos belonging to different sexes. The pattern of X-chromosome inactivation in cells of extraembryonic mesoderm in the control group of embryos and in spontaneous abortuses with the level of trisomy 16 below 80% corresponded to random X-inactivation, whereas in most embryos with a frequency of trisomy 16 exceeding 80% skewed inactivation was observed.

Seventeen population groups within the Russian Federation were characterized for the first time using a panel of 15 genetic markers that are used for DNA identification and in forensic medical examinations. The degree of polymorphism and population diversity of microsatellite loci within the Power Plex system (Promega) in Russian populations; the distribution of alleles and genotypes within the populations of six cities and 11 ethnic groups of the Russian Federation; the levels of intra- and interpopulation genetic differentiation of population; genetic relations between populations; and the identification and forensic medical characteristics of the system of markers under study were determined. Significant differences were revealed between the Russian populations and the U.

In ten populations under study 49 haplotypes have been determined, three of which are presented with high frequency. Comparing the obtained results with the available data from HapMap project unique "African" haplotypes were revealed, which occurred in Yoruba population with the frequency of 3-7% and were not found in other populations.

In the gene pool of Teleuts, five haplogroups, C3xM77, N3a, R1b*, R1b3, and R1a1, were identified. Evaluation of the genetic differentiation of the samples examined using analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) with two marker systems (frequencies of haplogroups and Y-chromosomal microsatellite haplotypes) showed that Bachat Teleuts were equally distant from Southern and Northern Altaians.

We studied the possibility of population of macroporous agarose cryogel sponges by mesenchymal stromal bone marrow cells with their subsequent adipogenic differentiation. After 7-day culturing of mesenchymal stromal cells in agarose cryogel, the level of cell proliferation was 35%. After 3-week culturing in a medium inducing adipogenesis we observed accumulation of intracellular neutral lipids positively stained with Oil Red O.
