Unlabelled: Projected trends in population aging have forecasted a massive increase in the number of people with dementia, in particular in sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Cognitive decline is a significant marker for dementia, typically assessed with standardized neuropsychological tools that have been validated in some well-researched languages such as English. However, with the existing language diversity, current tools cannot cater to speakers of understudied languages, putting these populations at a disadvantage when it comes to access to early and accurate diagnosis of dementia.

The use of Pb/Sn/Al composite anode materials has been limited due to the thermodynamic immiscibility between Pb and Al sheets during the welding process. Thus, herein, Sn has been added between Pb and Al sheets to fabricate a Pb/Sn/Al laminated composite vacuum hot-pressing welding (at a temperature of 230 °C for 12 h under 0.5 MPa).

Wetting phenomena are ubiquitous and impact a wide range of applications. Simulations so far have largely relied on classical potentials. Here, we report the development of an approach that combines density-functional theory (DFT)-based calculations with classical wetting theory that allows practical but sufficiently accurate determination of the water contact angle (WCA).
