Ephrin type-A receptor 2 (EphA2) is a member of the tyrosine receptor kinases, a family of membrane proteins recognized as potential anticancer targets. EphA2 highly expressed in a variety of human cancers, playing roles in proliferation, migration, and invasion. However, whether and how EphA2 regulates basal-like breast cancer (BLBC) cell stemness and chemoresistance has not been revealed.

Background: A paracrine mechanism is thought to mediate the proangiogenic capacity of adipose-derived stromal/stem cells (ASCs). However, the precise mechanism by which ASCs promote the formation of blood vessels by endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) is unclear.
Methods: The EPCs-ASCs cocultures prepared in different ratios were subjected to tube formations assay to verify whether ASCs could directly participate in the tube genesis.
Aims: We aim to define parameters that affect the safety and long-term transgene expression of attenuated HSV-1 vectors and optimize the expression cassettes to achieve robust and sustained expression in CNS.
Background: Engineered, attenuated Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) vectors are promising vehicles for gene delivery to the peripheral and central nervous systems. The virus latent promoter (LAP) is commonly used to drive exogenous gene expression; however, parameters affecting the safety and longterm transgene expression of attenuated HSV-1 vectors have not been fully understood.

Background: The advantages of good biocompatibility, low degradation and low antigenicity of collagen, and the osteogenic differentiation characteristics of bone mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) were used to promote the recovery of bone defects using partially deproteinized bone (PDPB) by bone tissue engineering (BTE).
Methods: The BMSCs were identified by examining their potential for osteogenic, lipogenic, and chondrogenic differentiation. The prepared pure PDPB was ground into bone blocks 4 × 2 × 2 mm in size, which were divided into the following groups: PDPB group, PDPB + collagen group, PDPB + collagen + BMSC group, PDPB with a composite collagen nanofilm, and BMSCs injected into the tail vein.

Antibody dependent enhancement (ADE) of dengue virus (DENV) infection is identified as the main risk factor of severe Dengue diseases. Through opsonization by subneutralizing or non-neutralizing antibodies, DENV infection suppresses innate cell immunity to facilitate viral replication. However, it is largely unknown whether suppression of type-I IFN is necessary for a successful ADE infection.
