In this study, we aimed to utilize phospholipids from the bacterium Pseudomonas putida (PP) as a plentiful, safe, and accessible resource for creating nanoliposomes to deliver doxorubicin (Dox) to MCF-7 breast cancer cells. This bacterium provides a cost-effective source of phospholipids commonly used in nanoliposome production, with no toxicity or adverse environmental impact. To this end, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations were first conducted to evaluate the feasibility of this approach and to analyze the behavior and interaction of Dox with the nanoliposomes.

Background And Purpose: Nowadays, herbal medicine has been utilized to treat various diseases such as cancer, which showed successful therapeutic efficacy in previous studies. This study for the first time evaluated the cytotoxic potential of cinnamaldehyde (CIN) alone and in combination with doxorubicin (DOX), a well-known potent anti-tumor agent, on the proliferation of prostatic cancer cell line (PC3).
Experimental Approach: The cytotoxicity and apoptotic activities of CIN and DOX, either separately or together, were determined on PC3 cells by the MTT test and Annexin V/PI assay, respectively.

Background: Students with higher academic self-efficacy usually show higher levels of academic adaptation and are agile in using variant learning strategies. In this regard, training-based learning (TBL), a relatively new educational method, can be considered a complementary method in the education of pharmacy students. This research aims to compare the effect of TBL with the lecture method on the academic self-efficacy of pharmacy students in pharmaceutical biotechnology courses.

Antioxidants found naturally in foods have a significant effect on preventing several human diseases. However, the use of synthetic antioxidants in studies has raised concerns about their potential link to liver disease and cancer. The findings show that postbiotics have the potential to act as a suitable alternative to chemical antioxidants in the food and pharmaceutical sectors.

Understanding how proteins behave dynamically and undergo conformational changes is essential to comprehending their biological roles. This review article examines the potent tool of using Molecular Dynamics simulations in conjunction with Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to explore protein dynamics. Molecular dynamics data can be made easier to read by removing prominent patterns through the use of PCA, a sophisticated dimensionality reduction approach.

Palm oil is the most widely used type of oil in the world, which is oxidized by exposure to heat and leads to damage to body tissues and the creation of free fatty acids. This study aimed to show the harm of palm oil in both heated and non-heated states on liver tissue. For this purpose, twenty-four male Wistar rats were randomly divided into three groups and treated for 90days as follows: control (rats treated with their normal chew), palm oil (rats treated with 7.

In the ever-evolving world of materials science, modifying natural polymers has garnered significant attention across diverse industries, driven by their inherent availability and cost-effectiveness. Among these, chitosan, a pseudo-natural cationic polymer, has emerged as a versatile player, finding applications in medical, pharmaceutical, filtration, and textile sectors, owing to its exceptional biodegradability, non-allergenicity, antimicrobial properties, and eco-friendly nature. However, the limitations of chitosan, such as low surface area, poor solubility at neutral to alkaline pH, and inadequate thermal-mechanical properties, have prompted researchers to explore innovative modification strategies, including graft copolymerization, quaternization, and cross-linking.
