Background: Following rapid population growth and urbanization, global ultra-processed food consumption levels have increased. Additionally, type 2 diabetes mellitus, a non-communicable disease, is affecting one-tenth of the people worldwide. In this study, we aimed to investigate the association between ultra-processed food consumption and the risk of type 2 diabetes mellitus in different scenarios in a prospective cohort study in the western part of Iran.

Aim: Since the coronavirus outbreak became a global health emergency in 2020, various immune-based effects, such as inflammatory arthritis (IA), have been recorded. This study aimed to determine the role of COVID-19 severity on post-COVID arthritis.
Methods: We systematically reviewed 95 patients who developed arthritis after severe and non-severe COVID-19 infection by searching the databases, including PubMed, SCOPUS, and EMBASE.

Background: The aim of this study was to compare noise sensitivity (NS) in schizophrenic individuals with/without hallucinations and healthy individuals.
Procedure: A retrospective (causal-comparative) study was conducted in three groups: (i) A group of individuals with schizophrenia and auditory hallucinations (14 participants), (ii) a group of schizophrenic individuals without auditory hallucinations (14 participants) selected by purposive sampling and (iii) a control group (19 participants) selected by convenience sampling. Schutte's Noise Sensitivity Questionnaire was used to measure NS.

The Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diet has been associated with reduced hypertension and risk of cardiovascular diseases, nevertheless DASH diet is rich in foods that are recommended to be inversely associated with cancer risk. The objective of the present study was to conduct the first meta-analysis of studies investigating the associations between DASH diet and risk of colorectal cancer. Relevant studies were identified in PubMed and Scopus (up to April 2019).

Mental adjustment to cancer is known as a psychological, physical, and psychological health variable among cancer patients. The present study examines the factor structure and psychometric properties of the Mini-Mental Adjustment to Cancer scale (Mini-MAC) in a sample of Iranian adults who suffer from cancer. The sample consists of 320 cancer patients selected through non-random convenient sampling procedure from the hospitals and clinics in the cities of Kermanshah and Shiraz in Iran, using the Mini-MAC scale.

Unlabelled: The network degeneration hypothesis (NDH) of neurodegenerative syndromes suggests that pathologic brain changes distribute primarily along distinct brain networks, which are characteristic for different syndromes. Brain changes of neurodegenerative syndromes can be characterized in vivo by different imaging modalities. Our aim was to test the hypothesis whether multimodal imaging based on the NDH separates individual patients with different neurodegenerative syndromes.
