Background: Ixazomib-revlimid-dexamethason showed significant activity in relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM). Here, we evaluate ixazomib in combination with thalidomide and dexamethasone for induction treatment followed by ixazomib maintenance therapy in RRMM patients.
Methods: Ninety patients have been included.

This trial evaluated quality of life (QoL) using the EORTC QLQ-C30 and the EORTC QLQ-MY20 instruments in 90 patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma during induction and maintenance therapy with eight cycles of ixazomib-thalidomide-dexamethasone, followed by 12 months of ixazomib maintenance therapy. When patient's baseline QoL was compared with data of the general population, a significant impairment in health-related QoL, physical, role, and social functioning and several other dimensions, as well as more pain and fatigue, was noted. Induction therapy resulted in significant improvement of pain and worsening of neuropathy, with no significant variation of other parameters.

Past research has demonstrated a relationship between déjà vu and the entorhinal cortex in patients with wider medial temporal lobe damage. The aim of the present research was to investigate this crucial link in a patient (MR) with a selective lesion to the left lateral entorhinal cortex to provide a more direct exploration of this relationship. Two experiments investigated the experiences of déjà vécu (using the IDEA questionnaire) and déjà vu (using an adapted DRM paradigm) in MR and a set of matched controls.

Objectives: To review the surgical results and to identify possible parameters influencing the clinical outcomes in an unselected patient collective undergoing minimally invasive lumbar interbody fusion in a spinal care unit.
Methods: A total of 229 adult patients who underwent minimally invasive lumbar spinal fusion between 2008 and 2016 were included in this retrospective analysis. Lumbar fusion was performed using transforaminal interbody fusion (TLIF) devices and posterolateral fusion.

Background: The impact of diabetes on spinal surgery has been studied extensively, but very few studies have focused on minimal access spinal technologies (MAST) and complication rates in patients suffering from type 2 diabetes (T2DM). Diabetes increases the risk of wound healing disorders, complication rate and length of stay in the hospital. We focused on the peri- and postoperative complications of MAST in an unselected consecutive population of 187 patients suffering from degenerative disorders lumbar spine disorders.

The present research explored the role of the medial temporal lobes in object memory in the unique patient MR, who has a selective lesion to her left lateral entorhinal cortex. Two experiments explored recognition memory for object identity and object location in MR and matched controls. The results showed that MR had intact performance in an object location task [MR=0.

The present research explored the effects of selective impairment to the entorhinal cortex on the processes of familiarity and recollection. To achieve this objective, the performance of patient MR, who has a selective impairment of the left entorhinal cortex, was compared to that of age and IQ-matched controls. Four experiments tested participants' recognition memory for familiar and unfamiliar faces and words.
