Comparison of the Effects of Skin Microneedling with Cupping Therapy and Microneedling Alone: An Experimental Study.

Background: Microneedling promotes percutaneous collagen induction; cupping therapy creates negative pressure and leads to increased blood flow in the applied area. The addition of cupping therapy to microneedling is thought to contribute positively to microneedling's effects. This study was carried out to investigate the histologic effects of adding cupping therapy to microneedling.

Increased ambulatory arterial stiffness index and blood pressure load in normotensive obese patients.

Objectives: It has been shown that blood pressure (BP) values measured in obese subjects are higher than the individuals with normal weight, even in normotensive limits. However, data concerning the Ambulatory Arterial Stiffness Index (AASI) and blood pressure load in normotensive obese subjects is lacking. This study was aimed to compare the ambulatory arterial stiffness index and blood pressure load in normotensive obese and healthy controls.

Methods: Diabetic patients, who had admitted to the outpatient clinic of general internal disease department between September 2017 - February 2018 and had their spot urinary albumin/creatinine ratio measured, were examined retrospectively. Patients were separated based on the presence of DN.

Effect of adjunctive sodium hyaluronate versus surfactant nasal irrigation on mucociliary clearance in allergic rhinitis: a single-blind, randomised, controlled study.

Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) is increasingly used for the treatment of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. Although skin reactions to IVIg therapy are usually minor, rare, and not life-threatening, dermatologists need to recognize the nature of these adverse reactions. Long-term effects of vagus nerve stimulation in refractory pediatric epilepsy: A single-center experience.

Introduction: Vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) has been used as an adjunctive therapy for both children and adults with refractory epilepsy, over the last two decades. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the long-term effects and tolerability of VNS in the pediatric drug-resistant epilepsy (DRE) and to identify the predictive factors for responsiveness to VNS.

Does the use of fluoroscopy really affect the success rate of retrograde intrarenal surgery?

Introduction: Fluoroscopy is used for access sheath insertion and postoperative control during retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) operation but with this technique both patient and operation team are exposed to radiation. The use of fluoroscopy is disadvantage for both patient and surgeon. Considering results of recent studies, it is clearly seen that fluoroscopy doesn't affect the success and complication rates of RIRS.
