The purpose of our research is to study the creative potential as psychological capacities for younger schoolchildren's creative self-realization and self-development in various conditions of the educational environment. The methodological basis of this work is Vygotsky's conceptual provisions according to which the human psyche is culturally determined, and a sociocultural environment is considered to be the main source and condition for the child's mental development. The study involved younger schoolchildren (a total of 160 children from the 4th grade aged 9-10 years, = 160, = 9.

Adolescent girls aged 15-18 are in an active process of growth and development, as evidenced by the dynamics of changes in height and weight indicators. Low values of average growth indicators were determined among girls in Batken, on average 2 cm less than the average indicators of girls in Bishkek, however, the statistical analysis performed did not confirm the reliability of these differences. In 84.

We report herein the design, synthesis and biological evaluation of series of 7-substituted fluoroquinolones with pyridoxine derivatives. In vitro screening of antibacterial activity and toxicity of 39 synthesized fluoroquinolones defined compounds 7 and 28 as lead compounds for further investigations. On various clinical isolates lead compounds 7 and 28 exhibited antibacterial activity comparable with reference fluoroqinolones.

The sleeping chironomid Polypedilum vanderplanki is capable of anhydrobiosis, a striking example of adaptation to extreme desiccation. Tolerance to complete desiccation in this species is associated with emergence of multiple paralogs of protective genes. One of the gene families highly expressed under anhydrobiosis and involved in this process is protein-L-isoaspartate (D-aspartate) O-methyltransferases (PIMTs).

Magnetization reversal in ferro- and ferrimagnets is a well-known archetype of non-equilibrium processes, where the volume fractions of the oppositely magnetized domains vary and perfectly compensate each other at the coercive magnetic field. Here, we report on a fundamentally new pathway for magnetization reversal that is mediated by an antiferromagnetic state. Consequently, an atomic-scale compensation of the magnetization is realized at the coercive field, instead of the mesoscopic or macroscopic domain cancellation in canonical reversal processes.

Incorporating a variety of microalgae into wastewater treatment is considered an economically viable and environmentally sound strategy. The present work assessed the growth characteristics of during cultivation in balanced synthetic media and domestic wastewater. Increasing the NH-N concentration to 360 mg L and adding extra PO-P and SO-S (up to 80 and 36 mg L, respectively) contributed to an increase in the total biomass levels (5.

A convenient synthesis is presented for a new class of bioactive bifunctionalized conjugates of lupane-type triterpenoids with triphenylphosphonium (TPP) and glycopyranosyl targeting moieties. The main synthesis steps include glycosylation of haloalkyl esters of the triterpene acid at the C-3 position by the imidate derivatives of glycopyranose followed by the product modification at the C-28 position with triphenylphosphine. The conjugates of betulinic acid (BetA) with TPP and d-glucose, l-rhamnose, or d-mannose moieties were thus synthesized as potential next-generation BetA-derived anticancer compounds.

Disturbances in the formation of connective tissue lead to significant pathological changes in both individual organs and tissues, and at the organismal level. The complexity of diagnostics is also connected with the fact that there is no single terminology, a single view of the diagnostic criteria, a single approach among doctors of different specialties. The prevalence of external phenotypic signs of connective dysplasia is quite high, which can lead to overdiagnosis.

Considering the important cytoprotective and signaling roles but relatively narrow therapeutic index of hydrogen sulfide (HS), advanced HS donors are required to achieve a therapeutic effect. In this study, we proposed glutathione dithiophosphates as new combination donors of HS and glutathione. The kinetics of HS formation in dithiophosphate solutions suggested a continuous HS release by the donors, which was higher for the dithiophosphate of reduced glutathione than oxidized glutathione.

Synthetic peptides are promising structural and functional components of bioactive and tissue-engineering scaffolds. Here, we demonstrate the design of self-assembling nanofiber scaffolds based on peptide amphiphile (PA) molecules containing multi-functional histidine residues with trace metal (TM) coordination ability. The self-assembly of PAs and characteristics of PA nanofiber scaffolds along with their interaction with Zn, Cu, and Mn essential microelements were studied.

Background: Epilepsy is one of the most common chronic neurological disorders, affecting more than 50 million people globally. In this review we summarised the evidence from randomised controlled trials of gabapentin used as monotherapy for the treatment of focal epilepsy, both newly diagnosed and drug-resistant, with or without secondary generalisation.
Objective: To assess the effects of gabapentin monotherapy for people with epileptic focal seizures with and without secondary generalisation.

Antibiotic loaded bone cements are widely used in total joint replacement (TJR); despite many limitations such as a burst release which leads to antibiotic concentration below inhibitory levels and possibly contributing to the selection of antibiotic resistant strains. In order to address such limitations and to simultaneously address antibiotic resistance and short-term antimicrobial activity, we developed a nanocomposite bone cement capable of providing a controlled release of antimicrobial agents from bone cement to act as prophylaxis or treatment against prosthetic joint infections (PJIs). Gentamicin and chlorhexidine were loaded in combination on silica nanoparticles surface using layer-by-layer coating technique (LbL) combining hydrolysable and non-hydrolysable polymers.

Objective: Study of the effectiveness of monotherapy with potassium N-acetylaminosuccinate (Cogitum) for asthenic syndrome (fatigue) in individuals, uncharacteristic somatic, neurological diseases, anxiety disorders, depression and other diseases that may interfere with asthenia.
Material And Methods: Patients with fatigue scores of 22 or more on the Fatigue Assessment Scale (FAS) were randomly divided into the main group (MG) - 37 people, mean age 22 years [21; 24] and the control group (CG) - 34 people, mean age 21 years [19; 23]. The Trail Making Test (TMT-A and TMT-B), the assessment of general well-being on a visual analogue scale (VAS), where 0 is the worst state of health, 10 is the state of absolute well-being, was assessed.

The effect of transtraumatic epidural electrostimulation (TEES) above (T5) and below (L2) spinal cord injury in the lower thoracic region (T8-T9) in combination with treadmill exercise in pigs was evaluated using electrophysiological examination methods and behavioral tests. Two weeks after spinal cord injury, motor evoked potentials of m. soleus were recorded during electrostimulation at the level of T5 and L2 segments, which indicated activation of spinal cord structures above and below the focus of injury.

Headaches in children and adolescents are an actual problem of modern medicine. In most cases, headaches are regarded as a manifestation of vertebrogenic or cerebrovascular pathology, or as a manifestation of autonomic dystonia syndrome which leads to an erroneous diagnosis and treatment. The review considers the factors of occurrence and chronicity of primary headaches (hypodynamia, postural disorders, magnesium and vitamin D deficiency, anxiety and depression, central sensitization, alexithymia), methods for their diagnosis and treatment.

The use of biologically active compounds is often limited due to their poor aqueous solubility, which generally reduces their bioavailability and useful efficacy. In this regard, a wide search is currently underway for colloidal systems capable of encapsulating these compounds. In the creation of colloidal systems, long-chain molecules of surfactants and polymers are mainly used, which in an individual state do not always aggregate into homogeneous and stable nanoparticles.

Supramolecular self-assembly is a powerful tool for the development of polymolecular assemblies that can form the basis of useful nanomaterials. Given the increasing popularity of RNA therapy, the extension of this concept of self-assembly to RNA is limited. Herein, a simple method for the creation of nanosized particles through the supramolecular self-assembly of RNA with a three-dimensional macrocycle from the calixarene family was reported for the first time.
