In this study, the effects of different combinations of the genes , , and injected both using direct virus-mediated injection (adenovirus, Ad5) and umbilical cord blood mononuclear cells (UCBCs) on the processes of stimulation of post-ischemic innervation, angiogenesis, and regeneration in skeletal muscle were investigated in a rat hindlimb chronic ischemia model. It was shown that more pronounced stimulation of angiogenesis and restoration of post-ischemic innervation were achieved both in the early (28 days post-ischemia, dpi) and late (42 dpi) terms of the experiment in the calf muscle when UCBCs delivered the combination of Ad5- and Ad5- compared to the direct injection of the same vector combination into the area of ischemia. At the same time, the inclusion of Ad5- in the combination of Ad5- and Ad5- directly injected or administered by UCBCs provided a significant increase in the number of centronuclear muscle fibers, indicating stimulation of post-ischemic reparative myogenesis.

The incidence of neurological disorders, particularly age-related neurodegenerative pathologies, exhibits an alarming upward trend, while current pharmacological interventions seldom achieve curative outcomes. Despite their diverse clinical presentations, neurological diseases often share a common pathological thread: the aberrant accumulation of misfolded proteins within the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). This phenomenon, known as ER stress, arises when the cell's intrinsic quality control mechanisms fail to cope with the protein-folding burden.

Electrophysiological studies have long established themselves as reliable methods for assessing the functional state of the brain and spinal cord, the degree of neurodegeneration, and evaluating the effectiveness of therapy. In addition, they can be used to diagnose, predict functional outcomes, and test the effectiveness of therapeutic and rehabilitation programs not only in clinical settings, but also at the preclinical level. Considering the urgent need to develop potential stimulators of neuroregeneration, it seems relevant to obtain objective data when modeling neurological diseases in animals.

The present work explores the specificity of supramolecular assemblies comprising dialkylaminostyrylhetarene dye molecules incorporated into phosphatidylcholine (PC) or phosphatidylserine (PS) aggregates. In PS-based assemblies, the dyes demonstrate a concentration-dependent fluorescent response, distinguishing anionic proteins such as bovine serum albumin (BSA) and pepsin from lysozyme (LYZ) in aqueous solutions. Conversely, no significant response is observed when the dyes are incorporated into the well-organized bilayers of neutral PC.

Basic fibroblast growth factor (FGF2 or bFGF) is critical for optimal wound healing. Experimental studies show that local application of FGF2 is a promising therapeutic approach to stimulate tissue regeneration, including for the treatment of chronic wounds that have a low healing potential or are characterised by a pathologically altered healing process. However, the problem of low efficiency of growth factors application due to their rapid loss of biological activity in the aggressive proteolytic environment of the wound remains.

Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) physical cryogels that contained the additives of -, -, and -bis-phenols or phenol were prepared, and their physico-chemical characteristics and macroporous morphology and the solute release dynamics were evaluated. These phenolic additives caused changes in the viscosity of initial PVA solutions before their freeze-thaw processing and facilitated the growth in the rigidity of the resultant cryogels, while their heat endurance decreased. The magnitude of the effects depended on the interposition of phenolic hydroxyls in the molecules of the used additives and was stipulated by their H-bonding with PVA OH-groups.
