Extreme ecosystems are a rich source of specialized metabolites that can overcome multidrug resistance. However, the low efficiency of traditional exploratory research in discovering new antibiotics remains a major limitation. We hypothesized that actinomycetes may have the ability to produce antibiotics in the extremes of a changing natural environment.

Small RNAs are involved in diverse cellular processes, including plant immunity to pathogens. Here, we report that miR158a negatively regulates plant immunity to the oomycete pathogen Phytophthora parasitica in Arabidopsis thaliana. By performing real-time quantitative PCR, transient expression, and RNA ligase-mediated 5' rapid amplification of cDNA ends assays, we demonstrate that miR158a downregulates AtTN7 expression by cleaving its 3'-untranslated region.

The article embarks upon a study of political Sufism in contemporary Kazakhstan and patterns of religious continuity through an examination of Islamic manifestations that stretch back centuries, juxtaposed with the current state religious policy. It examines the role of the Muftiate's "official Islam" in shaping the life of religious communities, exploring the intricate interplay between religious identity, secularism, and public perception in the post-Soviet landscape. The author employed a multi-faceted research approach, integrating historical analysis, policy examination, and an ethnographic study of contemporary religious dynamics in the country.

This study aimed to elucidate the effects of various nutritional supplements on the physical, structural and sensory attributes of low-fat yogurt derived from camel milk, with the longer-term objective of enhancing its appeal and suitability for elderly consumers. Fresh camel milk was obtained from an Australian farm. Two yogurt variants were created: plain yogurt (CMY) and yogurt with added fructooligosaccharides, microbial transglutaminase (a ubiquitous food additive with potential health risks), apple pectin and linseed oil (CMYWA).

Background: Artificial intelligence integration into healthcare has gained significant attention in recent years, with its use ranging from disease diagnosis to surgical assistance. While artificial intelligence's potential to improve patient outcomes and optimise patient care is undeniable, concerns regarding privacy, transparency, and the potential for medical errors persist. To take full advantage of artificial intelligence's transformative abilities, understanding patient perceptions and attitudes towards its integration into medicine is crucial for ethical considerations and health outcomes.

The construction industry significantly impacts the environment through natural resource depletion and energy consumption, leading to environmental degradation. Circular Economy (CE) material efficiency strategies-such as material reuse, design for disassembly, prefabrication, and recycling-offer promising solutions for reducing resource consumption and waste. This paper explores stakeholders' perspectives on the costs and benefits of implementing CE material efficiency strategies in the construction industry, using the 3-R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) framework.

Despite new approaches in the treatment of cardiovascular disease (CVD) such as percutaneous coronary intervention, coronary artery bypass graft, and left ventricular assist devices, which cannot fully compensate for the effectiveness of the original heart, heart transplantation still remains as the most effective solution. A growing body of literature recognizes the importance of developing a whole heart constructed from living tissues to provide an alternative option for patients suffering from diseases of the cardiovascular system. A potential solution that shows a promise is to generate cell-free, i.
