Background: Dogs in close contact with humans can serve as a source of potentially dangerous reassortant influenza viruses (IVs) with zoonotic potential. The dog's body can serve as a vessel for the emergence of new IVs. These new viruses can become a source of infection for other animals and humans.

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) grown in many countries around the world with different climatic conditions and a huge number of environmental stresses, both biotic (fungi, bacteria, viruses, insects) and abiotic (cold, drought, salinity) limit rice productivity. In this regard, breeders and scientists are trying to create rice lines that are resistant to multiple stresses.

Forty-five tick species have been recorded in Kazakhstan. However, their genetic diversity and evolutionary relationships, particularly when compared to ticks in neighbouring countries, remain unclear. In the present study, 148 mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) sequence data from our laboratory and NCBI (National Center for Biotechnology Information; https://www.

Brucellosis, a zoonosis caused by Brucella, is highly detrimental to both humans and animals. Most existing vaccines are live attenuated vaccines with safety flaws for people and animals. Therefore, it is advantageous to design a multi-epitope subunit vaccine (MEV) to prevent Brucella infection.

Infections with spotted fever group rickettsiae represent a worldwide health problem, characterized by persistent high fever, headache, and rash in humans, domestic animals, and wildlife. To date, the occurrence of Rickettsia species in hard ticks has not been thoroughly studied, especially in eastern and southern Kazakhstan. A total of 1,245 adult ticks, comprising 734 Dermacentor marginatus, 219 Hyalomma scupense, 144 Hyalomma asiaticum, 84 Hyalomma marginatum, 48 Rhipicephalus turanicus, and 16 Haemaphysalis erinacei, collected from East Kazakhstan, Abay, Jetsu, Almaty, Jambyl, South Kazakhstan and Qyzylorda oblasts of Kazakhstan, were used to screen rickettsial agents using molecular methods.

Here, we reported the complete coding sequence of the influenza A/equine/Otar/3/2007 (H3N8) equine virus, first isolated in Kazakhstan in 2007. The hemagglutinin (HA) sequences of the Kazakhstan isolates appeared to be closely related to viruses isolated in early 2000 in Asia. Phylogenetic analysis characterized the Kazakhstan isolates as a member of the Florida sublineage clade 2 by the HA protein sequence.

Enhancement of the production and productivity in animals is possible by improving the environment and changing the genetic structure of the herd which is done through selection. The present study aimed to investigate the efficiency of using genetic resources in the population of South-Kazakh merino sheep breed to improve and enhance the quality of wool productivity by determining a combination of phenotypic traits, morphobic and chemical parameters, as well as immunogenetic factors. Wool productivity was studied and accounted for by cutting each animal's wool during the period of shearing with an accuracy of 0.

On the genetic improvement of animals, the need for decision-making takes place at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels. At the strategic level, this means defining a breeding goal, selecting a breeding system (selection or crossbreeding), as well as crossbreeding patterns, breeds, and lines. The current study aimed to analyze the breeding and genetic parameters of the dairy cattle in the Republic of Kazakhstan and introduce modern methods for assessing the breeding value of domestic and imported breeds of dairy cows.

Food shortages may be among the most significant negative consequences of overpopulation. In order to meet the nutritional needs of livestock origin, the number of available animals cannot be increased; however, ways must be sought to increase production per livestock unit. Livestock breeding is the science and art of establishing genes that are effective in the economical production of livestock, which creates superior livestock and poultry.

Coccidiosis is one of the most pathogenic intestinal diseases caused by different species of p. (Phylum:Apicomplexa), that cause important economic losses to the livestock industry. Given the importance of camel breeding and its products in the regional economy, in this study the risk factors of prevalence of camels Coccidiosis in the Turkestan region of Republic of Kazakhstan was investigated by oocyte excretion monitoring in the herd.

Cow mastitis is one of the main factors of economic damage in modern animal husbandry. It is registered to affect almost everywhere, taking into account the subclinical form from 30% to 50% of the livestock per year. Economic losses of farms from the diseases of cows with mastitis are due to a decrease in milk productivity, precocious cow disposal, a decrease in the grade and sale price of market milk, and treatment costs.

Electrochemical methods have been increasingly gaining popularity in the field of wastewater treatment. However, the performance of these methods can be highly affected by the polarity direction as determined by the electrodes arrangement (anode to cathode or cathode to anode); as well as the characteristics of the wastewater to be treated as determined by the type of wastewater. The presented research work investigated the relationship between polarity direction and the removal of pollutants from poultry slaughterhouse wastewater using titanium and aluminium electrode materials.

The sheep breeding industry forms a substantial proportion of the agriculture sector in the Republic of Kazakhstan and ensuring its sustainable functioning should be implemented in a number of national documents, which can be considered as the basis for increasing the level of national food security. This can be achieved not only by increasing livestock numbers, but also by conducting research that will reduce the incidence of disease in livestock. The novelty of the study is determined by the fact that in the extension study of autopsy of sheep affected by diseases, an analysis of factors that increase the incidence of melaphagosis was carried out.

Background And Aim: The quality of food, especially animal-based food, is crucial for human health. However, the quality of milk and other animal products has become an acute cause for concern in Kazakhstan. Technogenic dispersion of heavy metals (HMs) causes adverse effects on living organisms and creates unfavorable conditions for the existence of humans, animals, and plants.

Background: Yak meat can facilitate the development of new branches of animal husbandry and the meat industry. To improve the functional and technological properties of raw meat materials and improve the quality of premade products, a promising direction is the creation of new technological solutions based on the targeted use of natural food additives in the process of salt pickling.
Objective: To study the physicochemical parameters of yak meat (longissimus dorsi muscles) in the process of salt pickling and continuous massaging in a cyclic mode.
