Objective: We aimed to determine the value of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT) based primary tumoral and peritumoral radiomics in the prediction of tumor deposits (TDs), tumor budding (TB) and extramural venous invasion (EMVI) of colorectal cancer (CRC).

Methods: Our retrospective study included 77 CRC patients who had preoperative F-FDG PET/CT between June 2020 and February 2022. A total of 131 radiomic features were extracted from primary tumors and peritumoral areas on PET/CT fusion images.

Increased inflammatory biomarkers have been reported in prosthetic heart valve thrombosis (PHVT). Monocyte to HDL ratio (MHR) and albumin to CRP levels (CAR) are two biomarkers used widely for systemic inflammation but there is a lack of data on prosthetic heart valves. This study aimed to find out the potential predictive value of MHR and CAR for PHVT.

Background And Study Aim: Soluble urokinase plasminogen activator receptor (SuPAR), a soluble form of the urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor, is a biomarker produced by macrophages, monocytes, neutrophils, active T cells, endothelial cells, and circulating tumor cells. SuPAR is a novel biomarker showing altered inflammation in many inflammatory diseases. This study aims to investigate the SuPAR level in ulcerative colitis (UC) patients, and to evaluate the SuPAR level in active, and remission patients.

Background: During multiple sclerosis (MS) treatment different modes of action such as lateral (interferon beta to glatiramer acetate or glatiramer acetate to interferon beta) or vertical (interferon beta/glatiramer acetate to fingolimod) drug switch can be performed. This study aims to investigate the clinical effectiveness of switching from the first-line injectable disease modifying treatments (iDMTs) to fingolimod (FNG) compared to switching between first-line iDMTs.

Methods: This is a multicenter, observational and retrospective study of patients with relapsing-remitting MS who had lateral and vertical switch.
