Evaluation of undergraduate forensic medicine education in Nepal: a critical analysis using Schwab's five commonplaces and Schubert's curriculum images.

Following the establishment of Nepal's first medical college in 1972, forensic medicine was introduced in 1978. To date, 25 medical colleges in the country have included forensic medicine as a compulsory subject in the undergraduate medical curriculum. Although this subject has been introduced into the medical curriculum, the outcome is unsatisfactory, as reflected by the poor medico-legal reports prepared by newly graduated medical students.

Participant selection procedures in qualitative research: experiences and some points for consideration.

Qualitative research is widely embraced in the social sciences and education. Among the different traditional, modern, and community-oriented qualitative methodologies, we have drawn on our experiences to adopt seven qualitative methodologies: auto/ethnography, narrative inquiry, participatory action research, ethnography, case study, grounded theory, and phenomenology. Despite the abundance of literature on qualitative methodologies, there is still a need for a more focused exploration of participant selection procedures in qualitative studies.

Constructing the scale to measure entrepreneurial traits by using the modified delphi method.

Higher entrepreneurial traits significantly increase the likelihood of graduate students venturing into entrepreneurship. This study intended to develop a scale for assessing the entrepreneurial traits of graduate students, recognizing a gap in existing literature and measurement tools predominantly developed for countries with conducive entrepreneurial climates. Aligned with Ajzen's theory of planned behavior, the study employed a modified Delphi method, including prototype development, two Delphi surveys, and subsequent statistical analyses.

Learning Experiences of Frontline Nurses Combating COVID-19 in Public Hospitals.

Background: Combating COVID-19 by frontline nurses is highly concerned to manage and maintain the health care delivery system through qualitative services to the infected people. If nurses do not agree to the frontline role to combat COVID-19, it might create massive crisis in health sectors. The purpose of this study was to explore the learning experiences of frontline nurses combating COVID-19 in the public hospitals of Kathmandu valley.

The quest for leadership qualities in cooperative societies: An exploratory analysis.

Successful leadership is imperative for a cooperative to flourish. However, there is limited literature concerning leadership qualities in the context of cooperatives, most particularly in cooperatives in the global south. This study applied the participatory Delphi research technique to identify effective leadership qualities in the context of community-based cooperative societies in rural Nepal.

Measuring multi-dimensional disparity index: A case of Nepal.

This study introduces Multi-dimensional Disparity Index (MDI) to measure multi-form of disparity in different level of governments referencing Nepal. The measurement scale of MDI was developed by adopting Santos and Alkire's (2011) approaches. A wide range of thematic experts was consulted, employing the Semi-Delphi approach to determine its dimensions and indicators.

Civil servants' integrity in public sector: the case of Nepal.

Civil servants' integrity in delivering public service is the heart and soul of public sector governance worldwide, including in Nepal. Ensuring a higher level of integrity for civil servants is complex, as it is affected by several factors. With this consideration, this study aims to examine the factors affecting the integrity of civil servants in the delivery of public services in Nepal.

Background: Health care financial burden on households is high in Nepal. High health care expenditure is a major obstacle in achieving universal health coverage. The health insurance is expected to reduce healthcare expenditure.
