Prevention is the most efficient and cost-effective method to combat cervical cancer for which High Risk Human Papilloma Virus (HR-HPV) infection is identified as the major causative factor. HPV vaccination is for primary prevention whereas surgical ablation of precancer is for secondary prevention after HPV infection has occurred. Screening of women for early detection of Squamous Intraepithelial Lesions (SILs) with Papanicolou smear (Pap smear) is a desirable pre-requisite.

Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) are due to defective hematopoiesis in bone marrow characterized by cytopenia and dysplasia of blood cells, with a varying degree of risk of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Currently, the only potentially curative strategy is hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Many patients are ineligible for HSCT, due to late diagnosis, presence of co-morbidities, old age and complications likely due to graft-versus-host disease (GvHD).

There is already a significant global initiative to explore the synergy between traditional medicine (TM) and oncology, for holistic best care of cancer patients. Integrative oncology clinics have emerged with operational efficiency. What is needed now is an integrative vision that inspires to seamlessly coordinate the trans-system efforts in cancer research and rapidly translate the positive outcomes into prevention and treatment of cancer.

Background & Objectives: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is becoming an area of global and national health concern. It requires a life cycle approach from adolescence to menopause. Introduction: Biofortified crops represent a sustainable agricultural solution for the widespread micronutrient malnutrition in India and other resource-limited settings. This study aims to investigate the effect of the consumption of foods prepared with iron- and zinc-biofortified pearl millet (FeZn-PM) by children on biomarkers of iron and zinc status, growth, and immune function.
Methods And Analysis: We will conduct a randomised controlled feeding trial in identified slums of Mumbai, India among 200 children aged between 12 and 18 months.
