We present a systemic primary AL amyloidosis patient with severe gastrointestinal bleeding for whom treatment with bortezomib and dexamethasone was very effective. An 83-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital suffering from multiple gastric ulcers with bleeding. She had monoclonal protein (IgG, λ) in her serum.

An asymptomatic 56-year-old woman, upon medical examination, was diagnosed with advanced adenocarcinoma of the upper third of the stomach. Computed tomography showed that the primary gastric tumor was directly invading the splenic hilum, and there were multiple metastases in the spleen; incurable gastric cancer was confirmed. S-1 plus cisplatin therapy was introduced as the induction regimen, and the main tumor and splenic metastases reduced significantly.

The hepatic cyst is a common benign liver tumor, and no surgical treatment is necessary. However, it is difficult to correctly diagnose the giant hepatic cyst containing the solid septal structures inside, from the malignant cystadenocarcinomas. The various imaging modalities such as computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and ultrasonography, have been developed and are useful for the diagnosis of these liver tumors.
