Application of the international classification of functioning, disability, and health in autism and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder: A scoping review.

The International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) is a framework designed by the World Health Organization (WHO) to help different sectors, such as healthcare, social services, education, and policy, understand how people with health-related issues function (do the things they want to and need to do) in their daily lives. This framework has also been used to guide clinical practice and research in autism and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). To make it more practical, shorter versions of the ICF called Core Sets have been developed.

Parent Training via Internet or in Group for Disruptive Behaviors: A Randomized Clinical Noninferiority Trial.

Objective: To evaluate if an internet-delivered parent training program is noninferior to its group-delivered counterpart in reducing child disruptive behavior problems (DBP).

Method: This noninferiority randomized clinical trial enrolled families seeking treatment in primary care in Stockholm, Sweden, for DBP in a child 3-11 years of age. Participants were randomized to internet-delivered (iComet) or group-delivered (gComet) parent training.

Acceptance and commitment therapy is a psychotherapy method that seems to help people feel better, although not thoroughly evaluated in autistic individuals.

Childhood growth of term singletons born after frozen compared with fresh embryo transfer.

Research Question: Is the growth of term singletons born after frozen embryo transfer (FET) comparable to those born after fresh embryo transfer and natural conception up to 5 years of age?

Design: Observational cohort study in an academic medical centre and municipal child health clinics with repeated measurements carried out by medical professionals. Term singletons born after FET (n = 110) and fresh embryo transfer (n = 181) and their matched natural conception controls (n = 543) born in Oulu, Northern Finland, were included. Mean weights, lengths, heights and head circumferences at the ages of 4, 8 and 18 months and 3 and 5 years were compared.
