The clinical detection of this morphologic aberration was made using a dental operating microscope, and the canal configuration was established after correlating and computing the clinical, radiographic and cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scan findings.

Comparison of Time Required by D-RaCe, R-Endo and Mtwo Instruments for Retreatment: An in vitro Study.

Sealer with the least film thickness is favorable for minimizing microleakage. The aim of the study is to compare sealer distribution in root canal using three different sealers with three different obturation techniques.

Background: The Langerhans cells (LCs) are dendritic cells (DCs) which belong to the group of antigen presenting cells (APCs). Biodentine-a novel dentinal substitute for single visit apexification.

Use of an apical plug in management of cases with open apices has gained popularity in recent years. Biodentine, a new calcium silicate-based material has recently been introduced as a dentine substitute, whenever original dentine is damaged. This case report describes single visit apexification in a maxillary central incisor with necrotic pulp and open apex using Biodentine as an apical barrier, and a synthetic collagen material as an internal matrix.

Thorough knowledge on the aetiology of tooth staining is of importance to dental surgeons, in order to enable a correct diagnosis to be made when examining a discoloured dentition and it allows the dental practitioner to explain to the patient the exact nature of the condition. Tetracyclines are a group of drugs which can discolour teeth permanently. One such case of discolouration of adult teeth caused by administration of tetracycline(oxytetracycline) has been reported here and it has been discussed in detail.

Supernumerary teeth with orthodox shapes and sizes, that resemble the normal dentition are called 'supplemental teeth'.

A variation in tooth position-180° rotated maxillary second premolar.

Rotation of a tooth around an axis which is perpendicular to the occlusal plane through angles which approach 180° is a rare anomaly which is found in the human dentition. Such aberrations present a multi-factorial model in their origin. Both genetic and local factors seem to contribute to this abnormality.

Guided bone regeneration in the treatment of fenestration osseous defect.

This article presents a case with a fenestration defect which was treated by placing a resorbable barrier alone. In the case presented, the osseous defect was a natural space maker with the wall of the defect providing sufficient support to prevent collapse of the membrane into the space. So the use of membrane alone is the preferred treatment.

Paramolar - A supernumerary molar: A case report and an overview.

Paramolar is a supernumerary molar usually small and rudimentary, most commonly situated buccally or palatally to one of the maxillary molars. Paramolar is a developmental anomaly and has been argued to arise from a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Reports of this entity are rarely found in the dental literature.

Paramolar tubercle: A diversity in canal configuration identified with the aid of spiral computed tomography.

The objective of this article is to increase our understanding of the root canal system of the anomalous structures like paramolar tubercles. The knowledge of the internal anatomy of the paramolar tubercles is very important as they influence the treatment modalities and associated problems in many dental disciplines. This case report investigates the anatomical and morphological characteristics of a rare case of two well-developed lobulated cusps occurring on the buccal surface of maxillary right second molar with the aid of spiral computed tomography.

Gingival enlargement and mesiodens associated with generalized aggressive periodontitis: a case report.

Unlabelled: This case report describes the management of an 18-year-old female who presented with generalized aggressive periodontitis, gingival enlargement and a mesiodens. Diagnosis for aggressive periodontitis was determined based on history, clinical findings and radiographic examination. Treatment included oral prophylaxis, extraction of the mesiodens and elimination of infectious microorganisms, using a combination of surgical intervention and antimicrobial therapy with long-term maintenance.

Effect of toothbrush grip on plaque removal during manual toothbrushing in children.

Toothbrushing is fundamental to oral hygiene. Children differ in manual dexterity and their grip on toothbrushes. We videotaped toothbrushing sessions and observed the grip type, duration of brushing, and brushing technique used among 100 children aged 8-12 years.
