Burnout of Faculty Members of Medical Schools in Korea.

Background: There is no national survey on medical school faculty members' burnout in Korea. This study aimed to investigate burnout levels and explore possible factors related to burnout among faculty members of Korean medical schools.

Methods: An anonymous online questionnaire was distributed to 40 Korean medical schools from October 2020 to December 2020.

A study on postpartum symptoms and their related factors in Korea.

Objective: This study was aimed to identify the physical and mental state of women after delivery, to investigate the factors that influence those, and to examine the effects of postpartum care performance, which is traditionally believed to be appropriate care in Korea, on women's physical and mental status.

Materials And Methods: A total of 148 women who visited our hospital for postpartum check-up on the 2(nd) week or 6(th) week after delivery were selected. We researched postpartum care methods using a questionnaire and had the women self-evaluate their postpartum symptoms.

Rapidly growing ovarian endometrioid adenocarcinoma involving the vagina: a case report.

Objective: We present a rare case of a very rapidly growing stage IV ovarian endometrioid adenocarcinoma involving the uterine cervix and vagina without lymph node involvement.

Case Report: A 43-year-old woman visited the hospital with complaints of lower abdominal discomfort and vaginal bleeding over the previous 3 months. Serum levels of tumor marker CA 125 and SCC antigen (TA-4) were normal.

Developmental immunolocalization of heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) in epithelial cell of rat kidney.

During renal development the cells in the medulla are exposed to elevated and variable interstitial osmolality. Heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) is a major molecular chaperone and plays an important role in the protection of cells in the renal medulla from high osmolality. The purpose of this study was to establish the time of immunolocalization and distribution of HSP70 in developing and adult rat kidney.

Propofol and aminophylline antagonize each other during the mobilization of intracellular calcium in human umbilical vein endothelial cells.

This study examined whether propofol and aminophylline affect the mobilization of intracellular calcium in human umbilical vein endothelial cells. Intracellular calcium was measured using laser scanning confocal microscopy. Cultured and serum-starved cells on round coverslips were incubated with propofol or aminophylline for 30 min, and then stimulated with lysophosphatidic acid, propofol and aminophylline.

Correlation between preoperative serum levels of five biomarkers and relationships between these biomarkers and cancer stage in epithelial overian cancer.

Objective: To examine the correlation among the preoperative serum levels of five biomarkers presumed to be useful for early detection of epithelial ovarian cancer and evaluate the relationships between serum levels of these five biomarkers and epithelial ovarian cancer stage.

Methods: We analyzed 56 newly diagnosed epithelial ovarian cancer patients. Preoperative serum levels of leptin, prolactin, osteopontin (OPN), insulin-like growth factor-II, and CA-125 were determined by ELISA.

Anesthetic management for a cesarean section under regional anesthesia in a parturient with tuberous sclerosis: A case report.

Tuberous sclerosis is an autosomal dominantly transmitted genetic disorder that has characteristic dermatologic and neurologic features. There are few informations about anesthetic management for this disorder, particularly pregnant women. We report the anesthetic experience for a cesarean section under regional anesthesia in a parturient with tuberous sclerosis.
