Background: Cow's milk allergy (CMA) is one of the most common and complex food allergies affecting children worldwide and, with a few exceptions, presents in the first few months of life. Baked-milk-containing diets are well tolerated in the majority of milk-allergic children and allow dietary restrictions to be relaxed. In addition, the early introduction of tolerated forms of allergenic foods to an infant's diet in small amounts may enhance the outgrowth of their milk allergy through oral tolerance induction.

Background: The Global Typhoid Genomics Consortium was established to bring together the typhoid research community to aggregate and analyse serovar Typhi (Typhi) genomic data to inform public health action. This analysis, which marks 22 years since the publication of the first Typhi genome, represents the largest Typhi genome sequence collection to date (n=13,000).
Methods: This is a meta-analysis of global genotype and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) determinants extracted from previously sequenced genome data and analysed using consistent methods implemented in open analysis platforms GenoTyphi and Pathogenwatch.

Objectives: To evaluate the incidence of laboratory-confirmed pertussis (LCP) among infants hospitalized with acute respiratory infections (ARIs) and meeting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)-recommended clinical case definition.
Methods: An investigator-initiated active surveillance for clinically suspected cases (CSCs) of pertussis screened infants aged ≤6 mo hospitalized with ARIs during January 2020-April 2022 at seven centers across India. Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to detect Bordetella pertussis in nasopharyngeal swabs.

Background: The incidence of Carbapenem Resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) infections is increasing worldwide. Due to dearth of alternative antibiotics, prevention of infection transmission is a part of CRE infection management strategy. Early detection of CRE by active surveillance coupled with contact isolation is much more appropriate compared to contact isolation upon receipt of routine cultures dictated by the patient's clinical condition.

The development of nanoclusters based on incorporating biomolecules like proteins, lipids, enzymes, DNA, surfactants, and chemical stabilizers creates a stable and high fluorescence bio-sensors promising future due to their high sensitivity, high level of detection and better selectivity. This review addresses a comprehensive and systematic overview of the recent development in synthesizing metal nanocluster by various strategized synthesis techniques. Significantly, the application of nanometal clusters for the detection of various food contaminants such as microorganisms, antibodies, drugs, pesticides, metal contaminants, amino acids, and other food flavors have been discussed briefly concerning the detection techniques, sensitivity, selectivity, and lower limit of detection.

DOCK8 deficiency affects various cell subsets belonging to both the innate and adaptive immune systems. Clinical diagnosis is challenging, as many cases present with severe atopic dermatitis as the only initial manifestation. Though flow cytometry helps in the presumptive diagnosis of DOCK8-deficient patients by evaluating their DOCK8 protein expression, it requires subsequent confirmation by molecular genetic analysis.

It is unsure even if the virus itself causes type 1 or type 2 diabetes mellitus (T1DM or T2DM). Furthermore, it is still unclear whether even recuperating COVID-19 individuals have an increased chance to develop new-onset diabetes.

Importance: Multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) is a severe and unrestrained inflammatory response with multiorgan involvement, which occurs within a few weeks following the resolution of acute SARS-CoV-2 infection. The complement system is a vital part of the innate immune system and plays a role in COVID-19 pathogenesis.
Objective: To examine and compare the levels of complement components and regulators along with complement activation products in the different clinical spectrum of children with SARS-CoV-2 and a control group.

An 11-year-old girl was brought with complaints of recurrent massive hemoptysis. A computerized tomography (CT) of the chest showed ground glass opacities on the right lower lobe, and a CT angiography showed hypertrophied right pulmonary artery. Flexible bronchoscopy revealed a sessile friable lesion in the right lower lobe, raising suspicion of either a tumor or a vascular malformation.
