Background: Although the primary treatment for malignant phyllodes tumor (PT) is complete surgical excision with either breast-conserving surgery or total mastectomy, recent technical advances have led to the adoption of nipple-sparing mastectomy (NSM) with immediate breast reconstruction (IBR).

Case Presentation: A 28-year-old woman noticed a mass in her left breast that was rapidly increasing in size. She underwent tumor excision and a histological diagnosis of marked degenerative and necrotic induration suggested benign PT.

The Scale of Attitudes Toward Physician-Pharmacist Collaboration (SATPC) can be applied not only to the physician-pharmacist relationship but also to the medical-pharmacy student relationship.

Background/aim: In this study, the liver sinusoidal endothelial cells (LSECs)-protective effects of beraprost sodium (BPS) were investigated using mice with monocrotaline (MCT)-induced sinusoidal obstruction syndrome (SOS).

[A Case of Effective Disease Control of Advanced Gastric Cancer with Distant Lymph Node Metastases Following Nivolumab Treatment].

A 66-year-old man was diagnosed with advanced gastric cancer(L, Less, Type 2, T4a[SE], N2, M1[LYM], H0, P0, cStage Ⅳ)and received treatment with S-1/cisplatin as first-line chemotherapy. This treatment resulted in partial response(PR) after 3 months, with reduction in the sizes of metastatic lymph nodes surrounding the pancreatic head and paraaortic lesion. However, the sizes of metastatic lymph nodes increased after 7 months of chemotherapy.

Predictive factors for developing acute cholangitis and/or cholecystitis in patients undergoing delayed cholecystectomy: A retrospective study.

Background: /Objective: We evaluated the risk of acute cholangitis and/or cholecystitis while waiting for cholecystectomy for gallstones.

Methods: We retrospectively enrolled 168 patients who underwent cholecystectomy for gallstones after conservative therapy. We compared clinical data of 20 patients who developed acute cholangitis and/or cholecystitis while waiting for cholecystectomy (group A) with 148 patients who did not develop (group B).

Computer tomography showed an enhancing mass in the pancreatic body, dilation of the main pancreatic duct (MPD) and a filling defect within the splenic vein. On the basis of the preoperative diagnosis of pancreatic body cancer, distal pancreatectomy was scheduled.

A unique surgical case of giant invasive intracystic carcinoma of the male breast focusing on cytological findings.

A 60-year-old male presented with a history of a relatively hard and cystic right chest mass that had gradually increased in size, with subsequent skin erosion, exudate and hemorrhage. The cytologic specimens from a cyst fluid contained a large number of sheet-like or papillary clusters of atypical cuboidal to columnar epithelial cells with loss of myoepithelial components, in a severely inflammatory background with scattered siderophages.
