Objectives: The multidrug regimen with fluorouracil, leucovorin, irinotecan, and oxaliplatin (FOLFIRINOX) is widely used for recurrent pancreatic cancer after pancreatic resection. Renal mixed tumor characterized by the absence of nephrogenic blastema and the presence of predominant osteoid-producing osteoblast-like cells occurred in the kidney of a 6-month-old, hybrid, female pig. At the post-mortem examination, the tumor was found as a calcified grayish-white mass at the cranial end of the left kidney. Histologically the tumor consisted of 3 growth areas of poorly differentiated spindle cells, osteoid-producing osteoblast-like cells, and luminal epithelial cells.

Patients And Methods: We enrolled 5 391 patients from 439 centers into the study. Each center used a worksheet to report details about patients who either transferred to hemodialysis (HD) or died on continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) over a 6-month period from 1 April 2000, to 30 September 2000.

Sarcoidosis is a systemic granulomatous disease of unknown etiology and is associated with a wide variety of renal disorders including nephrolithiasis, hypercalciuria, hypercalcemia, nephrocalcinosis, tubular defect, glomerulonephritis, and granulomatous interstitial nephritis. We report a case of renal sarcoidosis in which we could not detect any evidence of extrarenal involvements that was diagnosed by renal biopsy and abnormal calcium metabolism incompatible with chronic renal insufficiency. On laboratory findings, decreased creatinine clearance, proteinuria, hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, and mildly elevated serum angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) were seen.
