Persistent breast cancer treatment-related pain affects up to 40% of patients, decreasing their quality of life (QoL). While current research typically utilizes correlation and regression analysis to identify biopsychosocial phenotypes contributing to this pain, this study employs cluster analysis to identify qualitatively different phenotypes based on somatosensory and psychosocial characteristics both before and one week post-breast cancer surgery. Further, it investigates how these phenotypes are related to pain intensity one year post-surgery and examines the evolution of phenotype membership from pre- to post-surgery.

EACH: International Association for Communication in Healthcare, Salisbury, UK.
Despite the increasing inclusion of communication skills in accreditation standards and an increase in time dedicated to teaching these skills, communication is often regarded as a separate skill and is therefore, not consistently represented in overall systems of assessment in Health Professions Education (HPE). The ascendence of competency-based medical education, programmatic assessment, artificial intelligence, and widespread use of telehealth, alongside changing patient expectations warrant an update in thinking about the assessment of communication skills in health professions education. This consensus statement draws on existing literature, expert pinion, and emerging challenges to situate the assessment of communication skills in the contemporary health professions education context.

Upregulation of L-type calcium channels (LTCCs) is implicated in a range of cardiovascular and neurological disorders. Therefore, the development of toolboxes that unlock fast imaging protocols in live cells is coveted. Herein, we report a library of first-in-class far-red small-molecule-based fluorescent ligands (FluoDiPines), able to target LTCCs.

Study Question: Does offering the Pleasure&Pregnancy (P&P) programme rather than expectant management improve naturally conceived ongoing pregnancy rates in couples diagnosed with unexplained infertility?
Summary Answer: The P&P programme had no effect on the ongoing pregnancy rates of couples with unexplained infertility.
What Is Known Already: Underpowered studies suggested that face-to-face interventions targeting sexual health may increase pregnancy rates. The impact of an eHealth sexual health programme had yet to be evaluated by a large randomized controlled trial.

Macrophage activation syndrome (MAS) exemplifies a severe cytokine storm disorder with liver inflammation. In the liver, classical natural killer (cNK) cells and liver-resident type 1 innate lymphoid cells (ILC1s) dominate the ILC population. Thus far, research has primarily focused on the corresponding role of cNK cells.

Understanding the intricate functions of membrane proteins is pivotal in cell biology and drug discovery. The composition of the cell membrane is highly complex, with different types of membrane proteins and lipid species. Hence, studying cellular membranes in a complexity-reduced context is important to enhance our understanding of the roles of these different elements.

Listening to music can span a continuum from passive consumption to active exploration, relying on processes of coping with the sounds as well as higher-level processes of sense-making. Revolving around the major questions of "what" and "how" to explore, this paper takes a naturalistic stance toward music listening, providing tools to objectively describe the underlying mechanisms of musical sense-making by weakening the distinction between music and non-music. Starting from a non-exclusionary conception of "coping" with the sounds, it stresses the exploratory approach of treating music as a sound environment to be discovered by an attentive listener.

Sexual health is important for the quality of life of patients who have received haematopoietic stem-cell transplantation (HSCT). Sexual dysfunction and couple dissatisfaction can seriously affect a patient's recovery and treatment process. However, this aspect of post-transplantation recovery is still usually neglected in clinical practice.

Introduction: Inhibition of the enzymatic function of HDAC6 is currently being explored in clinical trials ranging from peripheral neuropathies to cancers. Advances in selective HDAC6 inhibitor discovery allowed studying highly efficacious brain penetrant and peripheral restrictive compounds for treating PNS and CNS indications.
Areas Covered: This review explores the multifactorial role of HDAC6 in cells, the common pathological hallmarks of PNS and CNS disorders, and how HDAC6 modulates these mechanisms.

Introduction: Blood samples were collected to explore potential serum biomarkers associated with neurocognitive function in small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) patients who received prophylactic cranial irradiation (PCI).
Methods: This pre-specified study included patients with blood samples available, who participated in a phase III trial (NCT01780675). Blood samples were collected before PCI and 3-days post-initiating PCI.

Prior research suggests that secure base script knowledge is categorically distributed in middle childhood but becomes dimensionally distributed from late adolescence onward, potentially indicating a developmental shift in the nature of secure base script knowledge. Secure base script knowledge may initially be sparse, giving rise to categorical individual differences, while increased relational experiences later in development might contribute to more elaborated secure base script knowledge and dimensional individual differences. However, the cross-sectional nature of prior research limits inferences about developmental changes.

Introduction: Large genome-wide association studies (GWASs) using case-control study designs have now identified tens of loci associated with ischemic stroke (IS). As a complement to these studies, we performed GWAS in a case-only design to identify loci influencing the age at onset (AAO) of ischemic stroke.
Methods: Analyses were conducted in a discovery cohort of 10,857 ischemic stroke cases using a linear regression framework.

Myocardial strain imaging by echocardiography or cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) is a powerful method to diagnose cardiac disease. Strain imaging provides measures of myocardial shortening, thickening, and lengthening and can be applied to any cardiac chamber. Left ventricular (LV) global longitudinal strain by speckle-tracking echocardiography is the most widely used clinical strain parameter.
