This clinical report describes the prosthetic rehabilitation of a patient with corneal abscess with endophthalmitis of the left eye. Infection with a history of trauma resulted in loss of vision but with intact eye ball movements. Cornea excising evisceration was carried out following placement of poly(methyl methacrylate) ocular ball implant.

Background: To evaluate the salivary protein concentration in gingivitis and periodontitis patients and compare the parameters like salivary total protein, salivary albumin, salivary flow rate, pH, buffer capacity and flow rate in both young and elderly patients with simple methods.
Materials And Methods: One hundred and twenty subjects were grouped based on their age as young and elderly. Each group was subgrouped (20 subjects) as controls, gingivitis and periodontitis.

The ideal properties of a denture are adequate rigidity on polished surface to bear masticatory forces and at the same time, flexibility and softness on the tissue surface for proper and even distribution of masticatory forces. The problem with conventional denture is rigidity of tissue surface; leads to uneven distribution of load. This drawback even worsens in the case of flabby, atrophic and unemployed ridges with excessive bone resorption.

Injuries to oral soft tissue can be accidental, iatrogenic, and factitious trauma. Chemical, thermal, and physical agents are the main causative agents for oral soft-tissue burns. The present case describes the chemical burn of oral mucosa caused by tetracycline hydrochloride and its management.

Digit sucking, a form of non-nutritive sucking, is a habit of concern to specialist in various fields such as psychiatrist, psychologist, pediatricians, pediatric dentists, orthodontist, speech pathologist and plastic surgeon. The habits have harmful unbalanced pressures to be born by the immature highly malleable alveolar ridges. Sucking behaviors have long been recognized to affect occlusion and dental arch characteristics.

In order to bring down the cost of the castings used in fixed partial denture prosthesis, a study was conducted by reusing the nickel chromium alloy without adding any new material. We studied the effect on the ultimate tensile strength, yield strength and modulus of elasticity after reusing the nickel-chromium alloys. Results showed degenerative changes in the properties evaluated after recasting.
