Mini-implant and Modified Nance Button Assisted Alignment of a Horizontally Impacted Maxillary Canine - A Case Report.

Orthodontic alignment of a horizontally impacted canine placed high and deep in the maxilla represents a challenging clinical scenario. This article describes a case report of a 16-year-old postpubertal male patient who was concerned about an unesthetic smile. The clinical and radiographic investigations revealed that the patient had retained deciduous canines and bilaterally impacted maxillary canines.

Exploring the multitude of risk factors associated with early childhood caries.

Context: Despite efforts in restorative therapy, children who experience Early Childhood Caries (ECC) continue to be at a higher risk for new lesions in both the primary and the permanent dentition. Early interventions which disrupt the pathobiology of caries need identification of all the causative or risk factors.

Aims And Objectives: This study dealt with the prevalence and associated risk factors of ECC among preschool children aged 3 to 5 years in Bengaluru city.

Torque control in lingual orthodontics with lever arm mechanics: a case report.

The aim of this report is to illustrate treatment mechanics for torque control in lingual mechanotherapy using a lever arm and transpalatal arch (TPA) tab system during en masse retraction of anterior teeth. An 18-year-old female with bimaxillary dentoalveolar proclination with crowding was treated with a lever arm-TPA tab system. The retraction tabs bent into the TPA placed across the maxillary second molars were used as anchorage.
