An arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is an infrequent congenital vascular anomaly that can affect the vasculature and involve the endothelium and neighboring cells of any anatomical structure. AVMs are characterized histologically by abnormal AV shunts with atypical interconnecting capillary beds. AVM can cause functional and esthetic issues like face asymmetry, pain, osteolytic changes, and unanticipated hemorrhage or squeeze and tear of the surrounding tissue without causing any symptoms.

Current implant therapy is a frequently employed treatment for individuals who have lost teeth, as it offers functional and biological advantages over old prostheses. Concurrently, active exploration of intervention strategies aims to prevent the progression of peri-implant diseases and manage the existing peri-implant tissue damage. Indian Society of Periodontology has recognized the need for systematic documents to update the everyday clinical practice of general dental practitioners and has provided evidence-based consensus documents, namely good clinical practice recommendations from time to time to raise the oral health-related awareness and standards of oral health-care delivery across the country.

The World Health Organisation classification and the treatment protocol for the odontogenic keratocyst (OKC), previously referred to as the keratocystic odontogenic tumour, were examined based on a study of the literature. Because not all OKCs have an identifiable protein patched homolog mutation, the idea of changing the management protocol for OKC in response to this shift in tumour category was met with scepticism and was not widely adopted. This study's objective was to outline a successful management plan for an odontogenic keratocyst in a patient who was 23 years old.
