Introduction: The inferior alveolar nerve (IAN) can occasionally be observed in the extraction socket of the mandibular third molar (M3M) intraoperatively. Exposure of inferior alveolar neurovascular bundle during surgery primarily depends upon the absence of bony cortex between the canal and root of impacted third molar or either by existence of a very thin cortical lining between two which gets broken during luxation of tooth. Accurate anatomical relationship of inferior alveolar canal with root apex of impacted (M3M) and the location of canal can be determined by Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT).

Aims: The purpose of the study was to determine the best combination for chemomechanical preparation in primary teeth using two endo file systems (hand and rotary) along with two different irrigants.
Materials And Methods: Sixty primary molars indicated for pulpectomy, underwent chemomechanical preparation using endo files (H hand files and rotary Protaper files) and root canal irrigating solutions (Smearclear and QMiX). Samples from root canals were collected before and after the chemomechanical preparation of the canal and were cultured for microbial analysis of .

When endodontically diagnosing and evaluating the morphology and anatomy of roots and root canals, especially in multirooted teeth, clinicians must exercise extremely keen vision and give careful attention to minute details. Fundamental knowledge of the most common anatomic characteristics and the possible variations of these characteristics is necessary to provide successful endodontic therapy. While all mandibular molars have significant variations in roots and root canal configuration, mandibular second molars perhaps present the biggest challenge.

The success of endodontic therapy is based on having sufficient endodontic access, correct cleaning and shaping, and adequate root canal obturation. However, endodontic treatment is also dependent on having a sound knowledge of the internal anatomy of human teeth, especially when anatomic variations are present. Reporting these alterations is important for improving the understanding and expertise of endodontists.

Among the most severe types of traumatic dental injuries is intrusive luxation, which displaces the affected tooth deeper into the alveolus, causing significant damage to the pulp and all of the supporting structures. This article describes a unique case of intrusive luxation of the mature left maxillary central incisor in an 18-year-old male patient. The diagnosis was confirmed using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), after which the intruded tooth was successfully repositioned by endodontic and orthodontic management.

Background: The human tissues continuously undergo modification as deposition of calcium (CA) salts either in an organized or disorganized pattern. The latter pattern usually occurs in the soft tissues such as in arteries, brain, kidneys, lungs, and dental pulp. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the presence of pulp calcification and carotid artery calcification (CDC) as a marker for renal calcification and altered serum biomarkers such as serum CA, phosphorus (P), and alkaline phosphatase (ALP).

The pulp stones are the discrete nodular calcified masses commonly existing in coronal and occasionally in radicular pulp, placed freely, attached or embedded into the dentine. The present case report revealed the iatrogenic pushing of pulp stone and blockage of root canal that caused endodontic failure. The case enlightens the proper use of ultrasonic instruments with irrigating solutions to manage the calcifications in root canal for successful endodontic therapy.

A pediatric mandibular fracture can cause a child severe pain and the parent or caregiver extreme worry. While the pattern of fractures and associated injuries in children is similar to adults, the incidence is low. Due to a number of factors, including the anatomical complexity of the developing mandible in a child, management of such fractures differs from that of adults and can greatly challenge the pediatric dentist.

In this study we aimed to determine the soft tissue norms for the North Indian population based on the laymen perception of facial esthetics and to test the hypothesis that there are racial differences in cephalometric measurement between North Indians and White Americans norms. Two sets (Facial frontal and profile photographs) of 170 standardized facial photographs (76 males and 94 females in the age group of 18-28 years) were taken. A panel of judges which consisted of 20 laymen evaluated the photographs on the visual analogue scale to select a sample of 120 subjects (60 males and 60 females), which included individuals with esthetically pleasing appearance.
