Purpose: To compare the outcomes after switching between bevacizumab and ranibizumab therapy due to poor treatment effect in neovascular age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

Methods: This is a retrospective review of patients with neovascular AMD with first treatment using intravitreal bevacizumab (group 1) or ranibizumab (group 2) who switched to the other drug due to poor treatment effect. Primary outcome measures were change in mean best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) and mean central retinal thickness (CRT) at 1 year and last visit.

Previous research has revealed a positive association between balanced time perspective (BTP) and subjective well-being (Boniwell & Zimbardo, 2004), however mechanisms underlying BTP are yet to be determined. The goal of the present study was to examine the contributions of personality and quality of interpersonal relationships in the development of BTP. Additionally, the correlations between these measures and time perspective dimensions were evaluated as an attempt to provide further psychometric properties of the Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory (ZTPI) in a Turkish sample.

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship among pre-service science teachers' personality traits, academic self-regulation and teaching self-efficacy by proposing and testing a conceptual model. For the specified purpose, 1794 pre-service science teachers participated in the study. The Teachers' Sense of Efficacy Scale, the NEO Five-Factor Inventory, and the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire were administered to assess pre-service science teachers' teaching self-efficacy, personality, and academic self-regulation respectively.

Aim: The purpose of this case report is to present the orthodontic, surgical and restorative treatments in the case of an operated cleft lip and palate and severe maxillary defciency in a 14-year-old female patient.

Background: Only orthodontic treatment could be ineffcient for cleft lip and palate patients characterized with maxillary hypoplasia. Orthodontic and surgical treatment shows suffcient results, especially with severe skeletal defciency.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the circulating levels of IL-1, IL-6, IL-10 and TNF-? in serum following the use of topical and intra-peritoneal vancomycin and teicoplanin, as well as topical fusidic acid to prevent MRSA vascular graft infection in a rat model.

Ethanol and benzo(a)pyrene cause lipid peroxidation either by producing the reactive oxygen species or decreasing the activities of antioxidant enzymes that lead to cellular damage and cellular dysfunction. In this study, we investigated both physiological and histological changes in lung and physiological changes in brain after the administration of benzo(a)pyrene and ethanol both separately and together. We present a case of a 13-week pregnancy with a malformed fetus in a ruptured, non-communicating rudimentary horn. The patient, a 21-year-old woman with pelvic and right-sided abdominal pain, was admitted to the gynecology clinic of our institution. A ruptured rudimentary horn pregnancy was diagnosed by ultrasonography.
