Mobile bearing total knee arthroplasty does not lead to better joint awareness compared to fixed bearing design: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Purpose: Mobile-bearing total knee arthroplasty (MB-TKA) and fixed-bearing (FB) TKA are both widely used, with MB-TKA theoretically offering better functional outcomes due to its natural kinematics. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to compare joint awareness between MB-TKA and FB-TKA, as measured by Forgotten Joint Score-12 (FJS-12), to provide insights into patient-perceived outcomes.

Methods: A comprehensive literature search was conducted across major databases following PRISMA guidelines, without date or language restrictions.

Purpose: To validate and assess the cross-sectional adaptation of the modified Cincinnati knee rating system (MCRKS) Persian translation.

Methods: To assess test-pretest reliability, 102 participants were asked to fill out the MCRKS (Per) scale after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction surgery. Internal consistency (Cronbach's ), reliability (intraclass correlation coefficients), construct validity (Pearson's ) and sensitivity (floor/ceiling effect) were determined.

Direct epidural metastasis of breast cancer mimicking a large lumbar disc sequestrum: A case report and review of literature.

We report a case of cauda equina syndrome (CES) caused by an epidural metastasis of breast cancer, which oddly mimicked a large disc sequestrum leading to misdiagnosis. To our knowledge, it is the first report of a metastatic epidural breast cancer lesion mimicking a disc sequestrum.

Bilateral primary synovial chondromatosis in the knee joint.

Primary synovial chondromatosis is a disorder characterized by the metaplasia of the synovial membrane and the formation of loose bodies floating in the joint. We described a 30-year-old woman without any past medical history complaining of bilateral progressive knee pain who was later discovered to have bilateral synovial chondromatosis.

COVID-19 vaccine-induced vasculitis in a patient with sarcoidosis: A case report.

A 55-year-old lady with a nine-year history of controlled sarcoidosis developed vasculitis after Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine (BBIBP- CorV). She was ultimately diagnosed with mononeuritis multiplex based on EMG-NCV findings and administered methylprednisolone and cyclophosphamide pulse therapy for 5 days, and then continue with prednisolone and a monthly pulse of cyclophosphamide.

An exceptional case of posterior shoulder fracture dislocation in patient with recurrent anterior dislocation forming "Mirror Hill-Sachs lesion".

A posterior dislocation should be always kept in mind in a painful shoulder especially after trauma or seizure. Even in the presence of recurrent dislocation, the direction may be different from one episode to another.
