To systematically evaluate the efficacy of Fuzheng Huayu (FZHY) tablets/capsules on hepatitis B-associated liver fibrosis or cirrhosis based on randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in order to provide more accurate evidence-based medicine for clinical rational drug use. Randomized controlled clinical trial research reports related to the treatment of hepatitis B-associated liver fibrosis or cirrhosis with FZHY published in SCI and statistical source core journals were retrieved from databases such as PubMed, Cochrane Library, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI). The objective of this study is to gain insight into the current research frontiers, hotspots, and development trends in the field of immunization programs for women and children, and to provide scientific guidance and reference for follow-up research. Based on all the original research papers related to the research on immunization programs for women and children in the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database, bibliometric studies and visual analysis were carried out to explore the research frontiers, hotspots and development trends, and to analyze the risk factors affecting the vaccination coverage of immunization programs for women and children. Eight hundred forty-three papers obtained from 1,552 institutions in 96 countries/regions from January 1950 to August 2024, coauthored by 4,343 authors.

Background And Objectives: Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) is a key enzyme that regulates folate and homocysteine metabolism. Genetic variation in has been implicated in cerebrovascular disease risk, although research in diverse populations is lacking. We thus aimed to investigate the effect of genetically predicted MTHFR activity on risk of ischemic stroke (IS) and its main subtypes using a multiancestry Mendelian randomization (MR) approach.

In this study, we aimed to test the hypothesis that intravenous amino acids could improve 90-day mortality in critically ill patients with normal kidney function.
Design: This is a multicentre, open-label, randomised, parallel-controlled trial.

Background: Trends of stoma creation at index surgery for Crohn's disease (CD) in the biologics era has not been thoroughly investigated. This study aimed to assess the impact of increasing biologics use on stoma rates at index surgery of CD, as well as identifying risk factors for the creation and nonreversal of CD-related stoma.
Methods: In this single-center retrospective analysis, consecutive CD patients who underwent index bowel surgery from 2007 to 2021 were reviewed.

Background Endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) is an effective method for vertebrobasilar artery occlusion (VBAO) in patients with moderate to severe deficits but has unclear benefits in patients with low National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) scores at hospital admission. Purpose To compare the clinical outcomes of best medical management (BMM) alone versus BMM and early EVT (door-to-puncture time [DPT] ≤ 120 minutes) versus BMM and late EVT (DPT > 120 minutes) in patients with VBAO who have NIHSS scores of 10 or less at admission. Materials and Methods This retrospective study evaluated patients with VBAO and admission NIHSS score of 10 or less who were seen at 65 stroke centers in China from December 2015 to June 2022.

Background: Burns and chronic ulcers may cause severe skin loss, leading to critical health issues like shock, infection, sepsis, and multiple organ failure. Effective healing of full-thickness wounds may be challenging, with traditional methods facing limitations due to tissue shortage, infection, and lack of structural support.
Methods: This study explored the combined use of gene transfection and dermal substitutes to improve wound healing.

Extraskeletal osteosarcoma (ESOS) is a very rare malignant tumor. This study aimed to provide more evidence about the natural history and clinical features of ESOS, and clarify the impact of chemotherapy (CT) and radiotherapy (RT) on patient survival and postoperative recurrence for the sake of gaining a better understanding about the disease. Patient/tumor characteristics, recurrence, treatment, and follow-up durations were collected by searching studies in PubMed, Web of Science, Ovid, Elsevier, SpringerLink, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), and WAN FANG Data before June 30, 2023.

Introduction: The study was to assess the myocardial protection effects of the histidine-tryptophan-ketoglutarate (HTK) solution and the 4:1 blood cardioplegia (BC) in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) who were subjected to valvular replacement concomitant with the Cox maze III surgery.
Methods: A cohort of 148 individuals afflicted with AF, who received valve replacement surgery in conjunction with the Cox maze III procedure at our clinic within the period extending from 2015 to 2023, were enrolled. Subsequent to adjustment by propensity score matching (PSM), the patients were categorized into two distinct groups: the HTK group and the BC group.

Objectives: Both serum creatinine and cystatin C serve as dependable markers of renal function and have demonstrated a correlation with clinical outcomes in diverse conditions, particularly through the ratio of creatinine to cystatin C (Cr/CysC). Anuric patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis (PD) depend entirely on the clearance of peritoneal solutes. This research posits that the Cr/CysC ratio may predict all-cause mortality and technique failure in anuric PD patients.

Intestinal fibrosis, a severe complication of Crohn's disease (CD), is linked to chronic inflammation, but the precise mechanism by which immune-driven intestinal inflammation leads to fibrosis development is not fully understood. This study investigates the role of myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) in intestinal fibrosis in CD patients and a 2,4,6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS)-induced mouse model. Elevated MDSCs are observed in inflamed intestinal tissues prior to fibrosis and their sustained presence in fibrotic tissues of both CD patients and murine models.

The majority of Aspergillus fumigatus reproduction occurs asexually, with large numbers of conidiophores producing small hydrophobic conidia dispersed aerially. When healthy hosts inhale conidia, the mucosal cilia and phagocytosis by the innate immune system can remove them. However, in immunocompromised hosts, the conidia are not removed, which allows them to germinate, forming mycelium that invades host tissues and causes disease.

Background: Tumor-derived exosomes are involved in tumor progression and immune invasion and might function as promising noninvasive approaches for clinical management. However, there are few reports on exosom-based markers for predicting the progression and adjuvant therapy response rate among patients with clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC).
Methods: The signatures differentially expressed in exosomes from tumor and normal tissues from ccRCC patients were correspondingly deregulated in ccRCC tissues.
