[Primary squamous cell carcinoma of the prostate: Clinical features and therapeutic strategies].

Objective: To analyze the clinicopathological and imaging features of primary squamous cell carcinoma of the prostate (PSCC) and provide some new ideas for exploring suitable diagnostic and treatment strategies for the disease.

Methods: We retrieved and analyzed the studies published at home and abroad between 1976 and 2022 and reviewed the clinical data of our Department of Medical Oncology on 70 cases of PSCC, as well as the survival statistics of another 58 cases.

Results: Clinically, PSCC was characterized by normal PSA and increased squamous cell carcinoma antigen.

[Extragonadal germ cell tumor: A case report and review of the literature].

Objective: To discuss the clinical diagnosis and treatment of extragonadal germ cell tumor.

Methods: We analyzed the clinical data on a case of extragonadal germ cell tumor diagnosed and treated in the General Hospital of Eastern Theater Command and reviewed the relevant literature.

Results: The patient was initially diagnosed with retroperitoneal tumor and treated by resection of the tumor together with the left kidney due to the large volume of the tumor, which was complicated by pancreatic injury.

[Predictive value of net water uptake with respect to early neurological improvement after endovascular treatment in patients with acute anterior circulation large vessel occlusion stroke].

To investigate the value of net water uptake (NWU) for predicting early neurological improvement (ENI) after endovascular treatment in patients with acute anterior circulation large vessel occlusion stroke. A case-control study. A total of 132 patients (80 men, 52 women, median age 68 years) with acute anterior circulation large vessel occlusive stroke receiving endovascular treatment were retrospectively analyzed at Jinling Hospital from October 2014 to September 2019.

Early Neurological Deterioration and Hypoperfusion Volume Ratio on Arterial Spin Labeling in Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke.

Background: Arterial spin labeling (ASL) is a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technique used to quantify cerebral blood perfusion by labeling blood water as it flows throughout the brain. Hypoperfusion volume ratio (HVR) can be calculated using proportional hypoperfusion volume on ASL-based cerebral blood flow (CBF). This study aimed to explore the relation between HVR and early neurological deterioration (END) in AIS patients.

RNA-Sequencing and Bioinformatics Analysis of Long Noncoding RNAs and mRNAs in the Prefrontal Cortex of Mice Following Repeated Social Defeat Stress.

Background: Repeated or continuous chronic psychological stress may induce diverse neuropsychiatric disorders; however, the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, we explored the expression profiles of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) and mRNAs, along with their biological function and regulatory network, in mice after repeated social defeat (RSD) stress to explore their potential involvement in the development of anxiety-like behaviors.

Main Methods: RNA-sequencing was used to screen all differentially expressed (DE) lncRNAs and mRNAs between the RSD and control groups.

A Comparative Study of Bolus Norepinephrine, Phenylephrine, and Ephedrine for the Treatment of Maternal Hypotension in Parturients with Preeclampsia During Cesarean Delivery Under Spinal Anesthesia.

BACKGROUND This study aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of bolus norepinephrine, phenylephrine, and ephedrine in parturient with preeclampsia who had hypotension during cesarean delivery under spinal anesthesia. MATERIAL AND METHODS One hundred and sixty-six parturient women with preeclampsia who had a baseline systolic blood pressure (SBP) <80% during spinal anesthesia for cesarean section were divided into three treatment groups; bolus norepinephrine 4 μg (group N) (n=56), phenylephrine 50 μg (group P) (n=55), and ephedrine 4 mg (group E) (n=55). Primary outcomes included overall SBP and heart rate (HR) until delivery.
