Objective: To determine the clinical value of ultrasound in assessing cervical lymph node metastasis (CLNM) in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC).
Methods: The medical records of 179 PTC patients treated in Shandong Provincial Qianfoshan Hospital between March 2016 and March 2019 were collected. The patients were assigned to a transfer group (54 cases) and a non-transfer group (125 cases) according to their pathologic results.

The miR-200 family suppresses epithelial-mesenchymal transition by inhibiting ZEB1 and ZEB2 mRNA translation in several types of cancers. Kindlin-2 is a target gene of miR-200b and its expression level correlates positively to ZEB2 in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Whether Kindlin-2 and ZEB2 share a competitive endogenous RNAs regulatory network in OSCC remains unclear.

A family of small non-coding RNAs, ~22 nt in length, known as microRNAs (miRNAs), regulating ~30% of all human gene expression, have been reported to be involved in the pathogenesis of a number of types of cancers, including non-small cell carcinoma lung cancer (NSCLC). P21-activated protein kinase 1 (PAK1) is a clinical biomarker of Non-small carcinoma lung cancer. Here, we found that miR-98 is down-regulated, whereas PAK1 is highly expressed in NSCLC tissues and cells.

Unlabelled: In primary care medicine, establishing a diagnosis of influenza and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infections is usually based on clinical history and physical examination as well as a consideration of time of the year and circulating respiratory viruses in the community.
Methods: We tested the potential clinical samples using the automated molecular assay which included rapid influenza diagnostic test, Rapid Immunochromatographic Antigen Test, Verigene Respiratory Virus Plus Nucleic Acid Test, BD Veritor(TM) System for Rapid Detection of RSV in the paediatric setting for diagnosis of influenza and respiratory syntactical virus infections when testing was done by the paediatrician seeing the patient.
Results: Principally, with respect influenza virus specificity and sensitivity for RIAT were 100% and 68.

Metabolic alkalosis commonly results from excessive hydrochloric acid (HCl), potassium (K(+)) and water (H2O) loss from the stomach or through the urine. The plasma anion gap increases in non-hypoproteinemic metabolic alkalosis due to an increased negative charge equivalent on albumin and the free ionized calcium (Ca(++)) content of plasma decreases. The mean citrate load in all patients was 8740±7027 mg from 6937±6603 mL of transfused blood products.

Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) remains the main cause of cancer mortality, accounts for 90% of oral cancers. Increasing evidence reveals that aberrant expression of microRNA contributes to the development and progression of OSCC, but the roles of microRNA-506 (miR-506) in OSCC remain elusive. Here, we found that the expression of miR-506 was decreased in 21 OSCC tissues and SCC-4 and SCC-9 cells.
