A general and straightforward method for the regioselective construction of C-3 heteroaryl-containing imidazo[1,2-]pyridines cross-dehydrogenative coupling under transition-metal-free conditions has been reported, utilizing ,-dimethylaniline as the methylenation source and furnishing the C(sp)-C(sp) functionalized products in good to excellent yields. Mechanism studies indicate that a radical pathway is responsible for this transformation.

This study aims to explore the effect of Gegen Qinlian Decoction on gut microbiota of irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea(IBS-D) rats. A total of 36 male SD rats were randomly classified into the control group, model group, rifaximin group(150 mg·kg~(-1)), and high-dose(8.125 g·kg~(-1)), medium-dose(4.

The nanoagent integrates these MGNs-FA with surface modifications, and as expected, is monodisperse, and exhibits small size, strong NIR absorption, photothermal stability, good relaxivity and X-ray absorption coefficient, tumour targeting and excellent biocompatibility. Based on these properties, the nanoagent was successfully tested, both as a photothermal agent for high PTT efficacy and as a multimodality contrast agent for - & -MRI/CT/PA imaging and .

We have developed a regioselective C-N cross-coupling of 1,2,4-thiadiazoles with sulfonyl azides through iridium catalysis in water. This method tactically linked the 1,2,4-thiadiazoles and sulfonamides together, and the novel molecules increased the diversity of 1,2,4-thiadiazoles which may have potential applications.

The blends of poly(l-lactide acid--dioxanone-glycolide) (PLPG) with poly(d-lactide) (PDLA) (PLPG/PDLA) were prepared by a solution-casting method. The effects of PDLA on the properties of the PLPG were studied. DSC and WAXD results confirmed that PLA stereocomplex (sc-PLA) crystals were formed by blending PLLA segments in PLPG with PDLA, and the melting endotherm for both PLLA and sc-PLA relied on PDLA content.

Cancer cells prone to utilize aerobic glycolysis other than oxidative phosphorylation to sustain its continuous cell activity in the stress microenvironment. Meanwhile, cancer cells generally suffer from genome instability, and both radiotherapy and chemotherapy may arouse DNA strand break, a common phenotype of genome instability. Glycolytic enzyme PFKFB3 (6-Phosphofructo-2-kinase/fructose-2,6-bisphosphatase isoform 3), plays essential roles in variety physiology and pathology processes, and generally maintain high level in cancer cells.

Immune-mediated liver injury plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of liver diseases, which can result from viral infections, autoimmunity, alcohol intake, and drug use. Concanavalin A (Con A)-induced hepatitis is a well-characterized murine model with similar pathophysiology to that of human viral and autoimmune hepatitis. Capsaicin, a selective agonist of the transient potential vanilloid subfamily member 1 (TRPV1) receptor, exhibits anti-inflammatory effects on various causes of inflammation.

The short reaction time, clean and mild process with simple workup and easy purification of the target compounds were salient features of the present protocol, which enables straightforward access to -tosylhydrazones. Among the tosylhydrazone derivatives evaluated, compound exhibits excellent apoptosis-promoting and anticancer potential against triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cell lines.

Ureter reconstruction is still a tough task for urologist. Cell-based tissue engineering serves a better technique for patients with long segments of ureter defect who need ureter reconstruction. In this study, we sought to evaluate the differentiation potential of adipose derived stem cells (ADSCs) into urothelial lineage and smooth muscle lineage and to assess the possibility of ureter reconstruction using differentiated cells seeded vessel extracellular matrix (VECM) in a rabbit model.

Objective: Aqueous extract of Caesalpinia sappan (CSE) has immunosuppressive activities, but the mechanism remains unknown. This study was to investigate the effect of CSE on the balance between CD4(+) CD25(+) T cells and Th17 cells.
Methods: Allografted Balb/c recipients were intraperitoneally treated with CSE for 14 continuous days, and the graft survival was observed.
